Censure Update...ARG Poll 46% -Favor/44% - Oppose (43% Favor Impeachment)

CENSURE UPDATE....Via Taegan Goddard, here's an American Research Group poll sounding out support for Feingold's censure resolution. The results among Democrats aren't too surprising, but the 29% support among Republicans is higher than I would have expected. Another sign of the coming conservative crackup?

More surprising still: The poll found fully 43% of voters in favor of actually impeaching the President, with just 50% of voters opposed. While only 18% of Republicans surveyed wanted to see Bush impeached, 61% of Democrats and 47% of Independents reported they wanted to see the House move ahead with the Conyers (D-MI) resolution.

The poll, taken March 13-15, had a 3% margin of error.

1. Well...it's a start. Evenly divided. Means we have a chance.
I seem to remember a bigger imbalance when Murtha first spoke out...but I might be wrong on that. Feigold can get some momentum from this...particularly if our "Military's Air Strikes" go down badly when the Public finds out Bush allowed his "Generals on the Ground" to order the strikes rather than being involved.

8. No it means no chance at all.
In order to get any repukes and dem moderates on board the public would have to be jumping up and down screaming not a 50-50 split but something like 70% in favor, and red states too which is afterall who the repukes and moderates generally are representing.

3. That is 46% without the Dems even making their case!
If the Dems would just get out in front of this, we will have 55-65% instead!

4. Also surprising
is the 14% of Republicans who are undecided. Folks, this thing has got a chance. Write your Senators.

6. GET THIS, YOU DEM SENATE CHICKENSHITS!!!
More voters favor censure than oppose it, 48-43%.

If you clowns refuse to do anything out of integrity and in order to fulfill your responsibility to the Republic, then fer Chrissake do it because the people want it and they're getting pissed at you for your craven, sniveling inaction and general wimpery.

7. High number of Democrats
I haven't been keeping up with that in recent polls, but this one has too many Democrats to be valid. And even there, only 70% supporting it isn't enough, and the Independents aren't on board yet either. You see real shifts with Americans in the Independent vote and it's just not there yet.
