PREVENT YOUR LOCAL CALIFORNIA SCHOOLS FROM BECOMING SEXUAL INDOCTRINATION CENTERS

The transsexual activists want your children. They want teenage boys to have sex-change operations to "become girls," and teenage girls to have sex-change operations to "become boys." Blake becoming "Lara" (at left) is a real example of how transsexual activists want to teach schoolkids in your community to think this is normal and OK.

There are two bills in the California Legislature that will force all California public schools to promote transsexuality, bisexuality, and homosexuality -- or else! These bills are likely to pass the Legislature and go to the Governor. Your voice is needed NOW to demand that Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger pledge to veto AB 606 and SB 1437.

AB 606 would give inappropriate, draconian power to the California State Superintendent of Public Instruction to unilaterally withhold state funds from California school districts that don’t promote transsexuality, bisexuality, and homosexuality according to his arbitrary standards. Because two-thirds of a school district's funds come from the state, AB 606 would interrupt and destroy the academic learning of millions of California schoolchildren if schools "don't comply." Status: AB 606 passed the California Assembly on Feb. 2 and has not yet been scheduled for the Senate Education Committee.

SB 1437 is more direct, and mandates that no textbook, instructional materials, or school-sponsored activities can "reflect adversely" upon transsexuality, bisexuality, or homosexuality. Authored by lesbian activist and state senator Sheila James Kuehl, SB 1437 would prohibit textbooks from "reflecting adversely" on "gender" (meaning transvestitism, transsexuality, and sex-change operations) and "sexual orientation" (meaning bisexuality and homosexuality in all its forms). This would mean promoting all these sexual lifestyles to schoolchildren as young as kindergarten. It also means textbooks could no longer talk about marriage between a husband and a wife without also teaching children about marriage between a husband and a husband, or a wife and a wife. Status: SB 1437 has not yet been scheduled for a hearing in the Senate Judiciary Committee.

CALL THE GOVERNOR NOW
(even if you've already called and emailed before)

Call Arnold: Urge the Governor to "Veto AB 606 and SB 1437. These dangerous bills rob school districts of local control and force a bad sexual agenda upon impressionable children." The Governor has 7 offices:

Call your State Senators and Assemblymembers: Click here to find the phone numbers of your state senators and assemblymembers. Tell them to "Oppose AB 606 and SB 1437 and tell the Governor to veto them. These bad bills will teach children to engage in risky sexual behaviors, and harm the purpose of public education, which is reading, writing, and computing."

Pray: Ask God to have mercy on California. Ask Him to give His people more time to repent and exercise righteousness. Specifically request that God intervene and stop AB 606 and SB 1437.

---------------------------------

1. AB 606 forces California public schools to have policies that promote transsexuality, bisexuality and homosexuality to schoolchildren.

AB 606 reads, “A school district shall establish and publicize an anti-discrimination and anti-harassment policy that prohibits discrimination and harassment based on the characteristics set forth in Section 422.55 of the Penal Code and Section 220, including, but not limited to, actual or perceived gender identity and sexual orientation” -- AB 606 234.1(a)(1).

The Democrat legislators who passed AB 606 in the Assembly have attempted to portray this as a general anti-discrimination law designed to protect children in schools. In reality, AB 606 forces every California school to be a transsexual, bisexual and homosexual school, or else suffer crippling financial consequences.

We know this by looking at the bill text. AB 606 promotes its sexual agenda “based on the characteristics set forth in Section 422.55 of the Penal Code and Section 220” -- AB 606 234.1(1,2). Connect the dots. Penal 422.55 refers to "gender" and "sexual orientation." Immediately following is Penal Code 422.56(c) which declares, "Gender" means sex, and includes a person's gender identity and gender related appearance and behavior whether or not stereotypically associated with the person's assigned sex at birth." Therefore, AB 606 means transsexuality, transvetitism, intersexuality, sex changes, and cross-dressing (boys wearing girls clothes) will be promoted on every California school campus. Penal Code 422.56(h) also defines "sexual orientation" as including “bisexuality.” When you put together the pieces, this is how AB 606 forces schools to promote transsexuality, bisexuality and homosexuality as norms to which schoolchildren should aspire.

2. AB 606 is different from other school “anti-discrimination” laws.

Although Democrat legislators claim AB 606 is merely an anti-discrimination law by citing the first half of the bill (AB 606, 234.1), it’s the second half that carries the poison pill (AB 606, 234.2). Section 234.2 gives the State Superintendent of Public Instruction absolute power and arbitrary authority to yank all state funding from any school district that he or she deems to be inadequately promoting transsexual-bisexual-homosexual curriculum and agendas. Because around two-thirds of a school district’s funds come from state government, AB 606 effectively places California’s schools at the mercy of a single pro-homosexual politician. But AB 606 is not about mercy. It’s the intolerant hammer of the trans-bi-homosexual agenda forcing every California school to submit, or else.

AB 606 clearly spells out this power to destroy: “If the Superintendent determines that a school district is not complying with this article…he or she may use any means authorized by law to effect compliance with this article, including, but not limited to, the withholding of all or part of the relevant state fiscal support of the school district” -- AB 606, 234.2(b).

3. AB 606 will be used to force schools to use state-approved curriculum actively promoting transsexuality, bisexuality and homosexuality.

This is no exaggeration. AB 606 allows the California Department of Education to “suggest” school curricula, stating: “The department shall display information on trainings, curricula, and other resources that specifically address bias-related discrimination and harassment based on…sexual orientation, on the California Healthy Kids Resource Center Internet Web site” -- AB 606 234.3(b).

But due to the absolute enforcement power that AB 606 awards the State Superintendent of Public Instruction, the state schools chief will have the legal authority to yank funding from any school that doesn’t adequately promote transsexuality, bisexuality and homosexuality in its policies and curriculum. What determines compliance, and who decides which school districts get two-thirds of their funding pulled? The “suggestions” made by the Superintendent, of course.

4. AB 606's REAL AGENDA is to remove all legal protections against the state MANDATING transsexual-bisexual-homosexual curriculum in schools.

The current version of AB 606 (as amended Feb. 17, 2006) says “SEC. 3. Section 241 of the Education Code is repealed.” But what does Section 241 say? It reads, “Nothing in the California Student Safety and Violence Prevention Act of 2000 requires the inclusion of any curriculum, textbook, presentation, or other material in any program or activity conducted by an educational institution or postsecondary educational institution; the California Student Safety and Violence Prevention Act of 2000 shall not be deemed to be violated by the omission of any curriculum, textbook, presentation, or other material in any program or activity conducted by an educational institution or postsecondary educational institution.”

So while current law prohibits transsexual, bisexual, homosexual curriculum, textbooks, and presentations from being forced on school districts, AB 606 would REMOVE this prohibition and give the state schools chief absolute power to MANDATE it.

CONCLUSION

AB 606 harms local control of schools by allowing the State Superintendent of Public Instruction to determine sexual curriculum and sexual presentations, despite the objections of locally-elected school board members.

AB 606 and the California Department of Education will accomplish this damage through a two-step process. First, they'll give schools “suggestions” for appropriate curriculum -- AB 606 234.1(b). Then, they'll withhold all state funding from schools that don't accept “appropriate” curriculum -- AB 606, 234.2(a,b). All this at the sole discretion of the State Superintendent of Public Instruction. Making matters even worse, the current state schools chief is Democrat Jack O’Connell, who, as a state senator, supported every bill advocating transsexuality, bisexuality, and homosexuality, including fines against businesses that disagreed with cross-dressing. Clearly, AB 606 will result in MANDATORY curriculum, textbooks, and presentations advocating controversial sexual “norms” to students from kindergarten through high school.

---------------------------------

1. SB 1437 will force all California public schools to promote transsexuality, bisexuality, and homosexuality to schoolchildren as young as kindergarten.

SB 1437 is a sexual-agenda bomb dressed up as a child-caring Easter egg. Lesbian legislators such as the bill’s author, Sheila James Kuehl, a Santa Monica Democrat, would have you believe that SB 1437 merely updates school anti-discrimination policies. To that end, the bill incorporates the explosive terms “gender” (which includes transsexuality and transvestitism) and “sexual orientation” (meaning bisexuality and homosexuality) in a long list of anti-discrimination clauses.

But the bill is ultimately about requiring transsexual, bisexual, and homosexual textbooks, instruction, and school activities – because not promoting these sexual lifestyles would “reflect adversely” on them:

“No teacher shall give instruction nor shall a school district sponsor any activity that reflects adversely upon persons because of their race or ethnicity, gender, disability, nationality, sexual orientation, or religion.” -- SB 1437 Sec. 1.

Contrast this to the current Education Code, which doesn’t require textbooks to promote “gender” (transsexuality and transvestitism) or “sexual orientation” (bisexuality and homosexuality):

“No teacher shall give instruction nor shall a school sponsor any activity which reflects adversely upon persons because of their race, sex, color, creed, handicap, national origin, or ancestry.” -- CA Education Code Sec. 51500.

A close before-and-after examination shows that the only substantial change in the Education Code is the addition of gender and sex orientation. After all, “ethnicity” equals “race”; “nationality” equals “color” and “national origin or ancestry”; “religion” equals “creed”; and “disability” is merely another word for “handicap.”

Clearly, SB 1437’s changes existing law by inserting transsexual, bisexual, and homosexual language. By forbidding schools from adopting educational material that “reflects adversely” on these sexual lifestyles, SB 1437 mandates these sexual lifestyles be taught and promoted to impressionable schoolchildren.

2. SB 1437 will require textbooks to promote transsexuality, bisexuality, and homosexuality to schoolchildren.

To fully understand the impact of SB 1437 on your local neighborhood school, you must connect the dots. For the first time, state law places “gender” and “sexual orientation” into school textbooks. SB 1437 says:

“No textbook or other instructional materials shall be adopted by the state board or by any governing board for use in the public schools that contains any matter reflecting adversely upon persons because of their race or ethnicity, gender, disability, nationality, sexual orientation, or religion.” -- SB 1437, Sec. 2.

Connect the first dot. According to the California Education Code (Section 220), "gender" and "sexual orientation" mean:

“No person shall be subjected to discrimination on the basis of sex, ethnic group identification, race, national origin, religion, color, mental or physical disability, or any actual or perceived characteristic that is contained in the definition of hate crimes set forth in Section 422.55 of the Penal Code in any program or activity conducted by an educational institution that receives, or benefits from, state financial assistance or enrolls pupils who receive state student financial aid.” -- California Education Code, Section 220.

What “actual or perceived characteristics” are in Penal Code, Section 422.55? Connect the second dot:

“For purposes of this title, and for purposes of all other state law unless an explicit provision of law or the context clearly requires a different meaning, the following shall apply:

(a)"Hate crime" means a criminal act committed, in whole or in part, because of one or more of the following actual or perceived characteristics of the victim:
(1) Disability.
(2) Gender.
(3) Nationality.
(4) Race or ethnicity.
(5) Religion.
(6) Sexual orientation.
(7) Association with a person or group with one or more of these actual or perceived characteristics.

(b)"Hate crime" includes, but is not limited to, a violation of Section 422.6.” -- California Penal Code, Section 422.55.

Now connect the last dot to the very next section of the Penal Code to discover what “gender,” and “sexual orientation” really mean:

“For purposes of this title, the following definitions shall apply:

(c)"Gender" means sex, and includes a person's gender identity and gender related appearance and behavior whether or not stereotypically associated with the person's assigned sex at birth.

(h)"Sexual orientation" means heterosexuality, homosexuality, or bisexuality.” -- California Penal Code, Section 422.56.

Undoubtedly, SB 1437 is written to deceive, while its impact is to indoctrinate. Quite simply, SB 1437 will turn public schools into anti-family, sexual indoctrination centers. This bill must not be allowed to become a reality in California.

3. SB 1437 prohibits schools from sponsoring traditional school activities.

SB 1437 specifically targets school-sponsored activities that currently make a distinction between “boy” and “girl”, by stating: “…nor shall a school district sponsor any activity that reflects adversely upon persons because of their race or ethnicity, gender, disability, nationality, sexual orientation, or religion.” -- SB 1437 Sec. 1.

As a result, several school activities will be deemed to “reflect adversely” on transsexuality, bisexuality, and homosexuality:

School proms (Prom “kings” and “queens” could not be gender-specific)
Gender-specific sports (“Boys Basketball” would be “discriminatory” against transsexuals)
Cheerleading (Can you say “transsexual cheerleaders”?)

4. SB 1437 prohibits public schools from teaching there is a natural family -- a father, a mother, and their children.

Just as it attacks school-sponsored activities, SB 1437 also assaults school curriculum on the basis of sex-related discrimination, asserting:

“No textbook or other instructional materials shall be adopted by…any governing board for use in public schools that contains any matter reflecting adversely upon persons because of their race or ethnicity, gender, disability, nationality, sexual orientation, or religion.” -- SB 1437 Sec. 2.

California Education Code defines “instructional materials” as:

"’Instructional materials’" means all materials that are designed for use by pupils and their teachers as a learning resource and help pupils to acquire facts, skills, or opinions or to develop cognitive processes. Instructional materials may be printed or nonprinted, and may include textbooks, technology-based materials, other educational materials, and tests.” -- California Education Code, Section 60010(h).

In short, instructional materials can be anything, including guest speakers, informational handouts, and other curriculum talking about and promoting transsexuality, bisexuality, and homosexuality. Under SB 1437, non-discriminatory instructional materials related to “gender” and “sexual orientation” would include:

Sex-change handouts (Omitting sex-change material in sex education class would ”reflect adversely”)
Transvestite speakers (Limiting classroom speakers to biologically-born men and biologically-born women would “reflect adversely”)
Transsexual, bisexual, and homosexual videos (Showing videos depicting the traditional family or man-woman relationships would "reflect adversely")

If you don’t think the liberal California Department of Education will enforce SB 1437, think again. Because parental units are gender-specific, married couples or a family with a “father and a mother” would be portrayed as mere stereotypes – outdated ideas – and could be prohibited from textbooks because their discriminatory inclusion “reflects adversely.” Under SB 1437, school curriculum in every public school throughout California, in every grade K-12, would have to portray transsexual and bisexual “parents” as normal. SB 1437 would teach schoolchildren that there is no such thing as the natural family.

If AB 606 seeks to tell school districts what pro-trans-bi-homosexual textbooks they must use, SB 1437 is even more specific as it dictates what California schools may not use (anything “reflecting adversely” on transsexuality, bisexuality, and homosexuality). These bad bills will brainwash schoolchildren into accepting and experimenting with transsexuality, bisexuality, and homosexuality.

CONCLUSION

There’s no mistaking that the California Department of Education will use SB 1437 to erase all traditional distinctions of gender or sexual standards. Those who doubt the ultimate impact of this bill, thinking “It isn’t that bad,” proves how the trans-bi-homosexual movement is already establishing a foothold against the traditional family.
