http://www.suntimes.com/output/news/cst-nws-harass17.htmlMembers of a South Side family filed a federal lawsuit Thursday claiming they were terrorized for more than a year by a band of rogue cops that would break down their door, handcuff them and steal cash.
In one break-in, the officers allegedly pointed a gun at a 10-year-old boy, leaving him with recurring nightmares, his mother said.
Officers already face chargesThe family is suing the officers and the City of Chicago. The alleged ringleader, according to the lawsuit, was Corey Flagg, a former Englewood District tactical officer facing separate criminal charges of scheming to shake down drug dealers.
Several other officers named in the lawsuit are also already facing criminal charges.
"They would just come crashing through the door, saying 'Get on the ground, get on the ground,' " Sharon Wilkins said during a news conference to announce the lawsuit. "They are criminals with badges."
