Tell Congress to Allow Deserving Refugees to Resettle in US
This came to me via email.

Take Action:
Tell Congress to Allow Deserving Refugees to Resettle in US
Help us convince Congress that victims of conflict and repression deserve sanctuary in the United States. A month ago, we told you that refugees who have been forced to give support to armed groups or gave an insignificant amount are not being resettled in the US because of a series of unfair laws enacted after September 11. For example, refugees in Colombia who were forced at gunpoint to cooperate with armed groups or Burmese who provided a bowl of rice to a group fighting the brutal Burmese regime are regarded as providing "material support" to terrorists and are no longer eligible to resettle here. Please help us convince legislators to establish a fair system that admits deserving refugees.

TAKE ACTION! Use our Action Center to urge your Congressmembers to change these unfair laws.
