A single incontrovertible fact that proves W is an unfit President
He REDUCED taxes in a time of war.

This is certifiably insane, unless one CONSCIOUSLY wanted to bankrupt a nation. And his just as insane Republican Congress and Senate went along with this.

And the deficit is . . .

1. taxes
No, he gave a huge tax cut to the wealthy, then got us into a war, and has SINCE cut corporate taxes many times. Pretty deliberate.

2. Hey, Phoebe!
Still slinging the facts at us, huh? You are so right. Unfortunately, we know that. His idiot base will never figure it out. :banghead: And the corporate media will make sure such ideas are never discussed on "our" airwaves.

5. I know I am preaching to the choir and that we all know this fact
But sometimes I just wonder- what simple, reduced factoid could I say to someone that might make them pause, stop, consider and then say - Dang, you're right! His policies are dangerous for the long-term health of the country.

A lot of people have pointed out that Bush has tried to run a war devoid of sacrifice. He's just put it on America's Discover Card. But he gets to cash in the Reward points, not us. War has been very profitable for some, just not the American public or the people who do the actual fighting. He is busily trying to reduce military health benefits too. Oh, my God - how do we make people understand?

11. I share your frustration
I didn't mean to dismiss your post. I think some of my frustation is coming to the surface, and I aimed it in the wrong direction. The truth is, I admire you for still having the energy and the desire to try to convince people. I've become so jaded that I can rarely do it anymore. I still try to stay involved by e-mailing, participating in my local Dem Club, and contributing what I can afford to progressive candidates. But I've become so impatient lately that it scares me. I wonder if I'm just going to burn out one of these days. Thanks for fighting the good fight.:)

7. Flipside
By cutting taxes the Bush Regime got most of the Super Rich, the Multi-Natls, Oil Corps, RW Corp Media, RWingers in Congress and the MIC to go along with the illegal Invasion of Iraq.

9. I absolutely believe that "starve the beast" is an actual policy -
especially because it leads so conveniently into "privatization" - spin off government functions to private entities and bleed the American public dry. Private jails, private armies, private security, private highways, private natural resources, private collections, etc. Soon we'll all just be workers handing in our chits at the company store, grateful for a tent, some sugar and some lard.

10. Campaigner In Chief scores twice
The only thing he knows is talking tough and making promises to cut taxes, as opposed to those 'tax & spend liberals.' He fools the little people into thinking that few hundred bucks really helped them out, while cutting the floor out around them, and the full scope of his trickery has yet to be realized with government services cut, state and local funding cut, and increased taxes for nothing in return for the future. Meanwhile, he really gives the big breaks and giveaways to his 'Haves & Have Mores.'

So not only has he heavily increased taxes on most Americans for the future (and present if state & local tax increases and services cut, are included), his Republican Party and the 'Haves & Have Mores' will bitch piss and moan about the rationale Democrat who will have to clean up his maxed out credit card mess, and finally call in Bush's very real tax increases for nothing in return. Then Campaigner In Chief gets to laugh his ass off at how the Democrat will be BLAMED for his delinquent credit card habit, by the Republican Party and his 'Haves & Have Mores.' He's probably already convinced his unaccountable self that it really was the Democratic Party's fault anyway.

Campaigner In Chief knows what he is doing, after all, 'it's just politics' to him and he's never had to worry about cleaning up any of his messes.

13. I Do Not Agree That We Are At War
Who are we at war with? No one, that's who.

There is a major military adventure, and a misguided one at that, gone wrong in Iraq, but that is not a war its a failure of policy leading to the slow forced suicide of our armed forces.
