My 91 year old father-in-law is a Republican...
We moved in with him about a year ago to "take care of him". Physically he's doing pretty well - he golfs almost every day - but we do all the house and yard maintanence, shopping, cooking, etc.
We try not to talk about politics with him, but one day out of the blue he says to me "I hate the UN." Where upon I dropped the pan of vegetables I was cooking all over the floor! I asked him why he hated the UN.

His answer? "I don't know, I just do." (Yes, he watches Faux News 24/7)

Another Card Carrying Member of the Republican Brain Trust  :dunce:

1. Faux News is definitely the best thing the Republican Party has going
for it. It is just feeding people propaganda.

2. Republicans don't like the UN because the UN can tell them what
to do.

4. FAUX is propaganda
MSNBC & CNN are PSYOPS. Both incessantly push the BushCo line, but they do it in different ways. Faux doesn't hide it;s allegiance while the other two mask their BushCo agenda with the cloak of fair journalism.

5. Does he collect Social Security?
Is he on Medicare? The next time he receives benefits from one of those programs, make a point of reminding him that the Democrats got those passed. The repukes fought them tooth and nail.

6. He sure does even though he is very lucky
and has 2 pensions plus survivor benefits from his deceased wife's teachers pension. This guy doesn't hust for $ that's why the RNC gets a fat check from him every quarter...
I do remind him that Dems made SS and Medicare available for his benefit for the past 30+ years - he just walks away; can't handle the truth.

8. He's luckier than most. I hope he realizes
that his wife's pension exists most likely as a teacher's union benefit. He probably hates unions, though, too!

10. So he's a hypocrite too. He hates unions, yet he thinks nothing of
accepting pension money from one. Nice.

14. Big Time hypocrite - examples...
he's against abortion, but flew one of his daughters to NY to have one in the 70s - would have made them look like bad parents...
Talks crap about people who have multiple generations living all in one house (they're poor trash, of course) but fails to realize that's what's going on in his own home...
I could go on and on, but the point is that their judgemental rules only apply to other people. :banghead:

11. Does he worry about losing Pension benefits?
Happening all over the place... pleas to be freed from paying pension obligations all over the place, and being accepted and even facilitated by the GOP controlled DC.

15. At least once a month there is a major story
on the next pension plan to go belly up, with lots of human interest angles with folks discussing how it impacts them. Keep an eye out for them, and leave them sitting around, just waiting to be picked up and read.

And please remind him every time he gets some type of medical service that by using Medicare, he's using socialized medicine.

16. He is 91 for Pete's sake
cut the dude some slack. He isn't in Congress, his money can't be that big a factor for Republicans. I fail to see how posting a snarky thread about him here helps.
