I think I have a sure fire elephant killer.

The right slogan that you can't shake can be devastating if people remember it and it starts sinking in.

I think it would be terrific to start using this slogan from now until election. Hang it around the Republicans necks like a rock. I'm going to coin this phrase. I hope some savvy Dem leaders pick up on it.

We no longer have a House of Representatives anymore in Congress. We have a Republican led House of PREVENTATIVES !! .

State, Republicans have time and time again, blocked repeated attempts by the Democrats to pass legislation and amendments that would strengthen America's security and help the middle class. They blocked us time and time again. Many times, having the majority, they wouldn't even allow us a vote.

And then tick off a list of stunning examples of what they blocked. I think it would be devastating if we can start making people realize all we tried to do that they blocked. It's simple. It's descriptive. And by giving it that name, people will maybe start to think--hey you know this Republican Congress really has been the problem.

Everywhere we appear and talk, hang it on em like a piece of toilet paper sticking to their shoe. Don't let em get away from it. House of Preventatives.

It's not quite four-letter-wordy enough to express my true feelings, but I do think it'd be a good phrase for those who have to watch their language in public like Dean, Pelosi, Reid, et al.

I don't think people have any idea how much legislation was prevented because the Republicans prevented it.

I tried to find a good list but the only one I found was too long ago. For examample I think we proposed bills numerous times that would have provided more funding for port security. Every time they prevented it from being passed.

We tried desperately to get an amendment that would have allowed Health and Human Services to bargain for the lowest prescription prices for seniors. The Republicans prevented it from being in the bill.

We proposed pay-as-you-go to be mandatory for any new spending. They prevented it.

Kennedy has been ruthlessly trying to get an up or down vote on raising the minimum wage. They prevented it every time. Wouldn't even allow the vote.


These are the kind of things I'm talking about. By tying it to that name instead of House of Representatives, I think it would be effective. I know if I was able to get on those talk shows, I'd start saying it.

Nuff said.
