2. He was on "face the Nation" and just ended but he was answering.......
.....every question as fast as it was fired at him. He was great!! Sorry I didn't post this earlier but I was glued to the TV watching this man. Face the Nation is usually rebroadcast last in the day or sometime into the night. Maybe you can check listings and catch it then. You won't be sorry.

3. MTP at 6:00 am in Seattle
I might add he was great until he ran away from Censure -

these guys are stupid enough to think there is going to be an investigation of NSA spying, what friggin planet do they live on?

Oh they will wait until it's investigated before they put any of their so called political capital on the line -

The ONLY Senator worth his salt is Feingold - all the rest turn my stomach

5. 6 am?
bummer......I missed it!
Agree on Feingold. I wrote Murray and Cantwell.
Urged them to support Feingold...haven't heard ONE word back from either of them.

14. good! I can catch the re-play
from everything I'm reading here, it's a must to watch the show.
Murtha isn't intimidated by anyone....not this real Marine.
He has respect from his peers, the men and women in the military who know the real deal.
They communicate with each other and are sharing the truth.

4. Yes, I did....
And I kept thinking how great it was to know this man is just telling the truth, is not afraid to admit a mistake (voting for Iraq war), doesn't run from a single question, and is not afraid to challenge the idiotic questions of the media. If only we could have a President like this. He reminds me of Harry Truman...I know everyone tries to claim the Truman banner, but Murtha deserves it.

7. Absolutely!!

He reminds me of Truman, too. Loved it when Timmy tried to trap him, "So, was your vote for the war a mistake, then?"

"Yes, Tim, it was absolutely a mistake. Absolutely."

He said it so firmly and with such resolve. Also, he broke some news when he told Tim that off-the-record, military commanders in the Pentagon keep telling him to "tell the truth, keep it coming, keep doing what you're doing!" He said the military leaders know the mission is lost, but their hands are tied publicly.

Hi, Punkin! :hi:

11. To be honest....
... it feels like '04 all over again in the Ohio Forum. If I were you, I wouldn't even tempt myself. :-)

At least it feels like Americans might be coming around a bit, that's what makes it feel so far away from '04.

9. To think I didn't even know who Murtha was when I first got to DU and.....
.....now I admire the guy. IMHO he doesn't seem like a republican or a democrat either one, he seems more like a patriot. The kind that only wants the best for our country and our people. Who knows, as my education at DU progresses I may change my mind but at this point I wouldn't mind in the least seeing a Feingold/Murtha ticket in 08.:patriot:

What a concept. You can be wrong and be a congressman of honour. Thank you general.

12. Murtha speaks the truth in a way that sheeple can understand.
That's one of the things that is great about him. He is the real deal.

13. it is great having people like Murtha and Clark go on shows to talk about
the war. They both speak with loads of experience, but also in a way that people understand (with no rhetoric). I think for this same reason some dems and indies like McCain and Hagel. We have some democrats who have even more experience than those two on war--- and they are democrats with our ideals. We should have them speak as frequently as possible.

16. We need more Dems like Feingold and Murtha.
It's pathetic how the party leadership tries so hard to distance themselves from these two patriots...

23. Clark is also very good to have as a guest on these shows
Even my republican family members think he is interesting to listen to regarding the war (same with Murtha). I think dems need to have people who can talk with a lot of authority on the specifics of war.

17. he was AMAZING!
Yeah, I watched his entire interview, he was great. Murtha responded great to all the questions form Russert - I expected no less from him. He is a true Patriot for admitting his mistake on war and telling the truth about the bullshit rhetoric from the Chimperor Administration.

I know some of the people here will get on him for not advocating censuring *Bush, but I think he abstained eloquently with a solid explanation - and he definitely did not say that he would never act to censure, so I say leave that issue off of Murtha for a while.

19. I saw him this morning on MTP and yes, he was great. It was even better
that he came after Gen. Casey, who came off as a lying propagandist for the WH.

20. He openly mocked the question about gwb attacking Iran. He was crystal
clear that we have absolutely no military capability to attack Iran and said very clearly that gwb would need authorization from the Legislative branch, which he indicated would not be forthcoming.

21. Murtha is not a liberal, but he is a man of great integrity
he's not going to be with us on a lot of issues, but he will listen to all sides, and change his minds when the facts warrant.

He has done yoeman's work on the Iraq war issues the last 12 months.
