This morning I saw the Chris Mathews Show
Edited on Sun Mar-19-06 02:00 PM by sallyseven
on this show there was a discussion about blogs and other types of information gathering. Tweety was complaining about the loss of news papers. David Gregory said that he goes to a certain web site to get information. The other guy said that these (Like Move ON) etc were able to galvanize people for a cause. Tweety was not happy about this new development and the acceptance that these Web Sites have for news that is not spit out by corporations. Either Gregory or the other person said that it is the wave of the future. Information unabridged. Can anyone remember what the web site was I didn't hear it well enough to copy it down.

1. Sucks to be you, Tweety.
You are becoming more irrelevant by the day.

3. Tweety, you live in a dream world

MATTHEWS: Take a look at this very unpleasant bit of polling here. In a recent Pew Research Center poll, the one word descriptions of President Bush have turned incredibly negative with 48 percent -- I checked this twice, this, I couldn't believe it, but it's true -- 48 percent of the people responding to this poll used such words as "incompetent," "idiot," and "liar" to describe our president.

Tell you what, Tweety, Get out from your DC Clivendon set and go out and talk to REAL people who have been raped by this dictator all around the country.

7. I saw that, and emailed "Hardball":
Dear Mr. Matthews:

I'm taking the liberty of answering the question you posed last night to Ms. O'Beirne; I hope you don't mind too much. The answer to your question, "Kate O'Beirne, what happened to respect?" is a simple one, if indirect. Chris, respect, unlike wealth or even the presidency, is not something your Poppy can give you or arrange to have it given to you. It must be earned. That is something that Bush has never grasped; clearly, neither do you, Tweety.

5. I'm sure there are lots of talking heads who feel like Tweety.
Before the blogs they could get away with saying almost anything! NOW, thousands of people publish proof that all they're spewing is BS!

It's always tough to get reprimanded by the minions!

Tweety's show that is. I didn't catch what Gregory said either.

on edit: I checked the show's website (http://www.thechrismatthewsshow.com/transcripts.html) and it looks like the transcripts are taking more than a month to get posted.

8. I thought Gregory
I thought Gregory was referring to Andrew Sullivan's website because Tweety mentioned the smile on Sullivan's face when Gregory said it. Link to Sullivan's website is:
