Cheney Dismisses Suggestions of Shake-Up: "Ignore background noise"
When is this gang NOT "dismissing" or "playing down" or "brushing off" or "refuting" or "denying" something or the other???

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Vice President Dick Cheney on Sunday dismissed suggestions that the Bush White House, hampered by a weak response to Hurricane Katrina and stumbles on policy questions, needs a shake-up.

"I don't think we can pay any attention to that kind of thing," Cheney said on CBS "Face the Nation." "The president has got a job to do. ... He ignores the background noise that's out there in the polls that are taken on a daily basis."

Bush's job approval in March was at 37 percent, which tied for his lowest rating in the AP-Ipsos poll. Senior Republicans and others have said the Bush team may need an infusion of fresh blood and ideas.

Cheney, in a rare Sunday morning television interview, told CBS that he heard similar grumbling 30 years ago when he was chief of staff for President Ford.....MORE

5. You know what this means....
There will be a shake-up. When this administration speaks you know they're lying!

OK so much for levity. If there is a shake-up it'll be minor policy wonks only. They'll never get rid of Rummy, Condy, Card, Rove or any of the "team" that got us all into this incredible mess.

6. "Who cares what Americans think about how their country is being run"
"That's just noise that distracts us from our business."

That's how I read it.

I love Monty Python. Someone could make a fortune with a Monty Python movie on the Bush administration.

13. Don't resign now? It's then prison time for you later!
Cheney, if you don't resign now, then you're punk ass is going to prison in 2006 once we impeach and convict and * with a Democratic congress. Then Nancy Pelosi takes over and NO MERCY on you or any of the rest of the Bush crime family! You'll be going DOWN! No "Gerald Ford strategy" to bail you out then!
