I heard this on a talk show. Can we get some research on this? Dems need to be able to refute the claims from the RW-nuts that the courts are too liberal just like the shit they hand us about the media being too liberal. Dems need good solid information between now and Nov. 2006 and a hell of alot of infor for 2008.

3. No.
Although the 'pukes did hold up a sizeable minority of Clinton appointees to the federal courts, (I believe the number is somewhere about 40 out of 250), the real reason that there are more republican appointed judges than democratic appointees, is that since 1980 we've had 17 years of repubs in the WH and only 8 years of dems.

4. Plus the fact that even under a democratic president because of the
republican power in the senate and house, the democrats have had to nominate conservative type judges as well to get them confirmed.

5. So when the X-right begins complaining about judges and courts
remind them that Republicans/conservatives make up the largest percentage.

6. Dems are afraid to talk on Corporate Media against Rethugs
I doubt any want to sat anything un-supportive. I am thinking they fear a backlash in the event of another tarrisss attack. They wont want to be seen as unpatriotic, or un-supportive of the President.
