Who marketed this, how, and who went to see it? What message are they coming away with?
I've been told it's revolutionary and controversial, but great.

2. Comic Book Fans Went To See It

Alan Moore has created some great comic books like Watchmen and The Killing Joke. A lot of his fans went to see this adaptation. Also, there has been a big internet buzz b/c of conservatives complaining about it being pro-terrorism.

8. I asked yesterday if it was sci fi and was told 'no', but

never even considered comic books. So it's fantasy? Seems the genre is hard to pin down.

20. Not comic book so much as ...

...graphic novel. There are some fantastic, science fiction-y elements to it, but it is political far more than anything else.

6. We saw it Saturday . . . fascinating

The movie walks a fine line between portraying a future, fascist Britain as Nazi Germany or as Bush's America. "V" is a complex character-the hero, yet wreaks awful violence against soldiers. Much more theatrical than realistic, but quite the ride. Takes some major potshots at using religion to oppress the masses. Portrays the government as controlling the people by constantly making them fearful, particularly of terrorists. It'll be interesting to find out if it has any effect on the teenage computer-game set that normally could care less about politics. Go see it.

My niece is a hemophiliac - she's 13 years old - and once am over my cold I told her I might take her to see this movie. I was wondering if it's really bloody because I don't like her seeing lots of blood scenes considering her handicap. Could someone please let me know how gory the film is in advance. Thanks Danny.

...there's some bloody sequences, but they're fairly short. There's almost more sheer brutality than blood.

In many ways it scared me, the movie not the blood. I would think that a mature 13 year old would be fine but don't use me as a reference.
