Hugh Hewitt: The Great Bush Come Back

Summary: On Your World, blogger and radio host Hugh Hewitt explained in an interview with Neil Cavuto why those who are currently "calling the president, 'damaged goods' ... can be prepared to eat their own words." Hewitt predicted that media figures "are going to have to answer to themselves again how they could have been so wrong, again." During the entire interview, an onscreen caption read, "Coming Soon: The Great Bush Comeback?"

3. LMAO... is he still waiting for an apology for us being so
wrong about everything else? This reminds me of Russert yesterday asking Murtha "What if Your wrong?" Murtha: "The only thing I was wrong about was voting for the war."

15. That's just what I was thinking.
What does he know? But, I really think if they are planning something like that, they might be the ones in for a big surprise. I think a few years ago it would have helped them, but now, I'm not so sure. People are in the mood to blame Bush in general and they're starting to see his incompetence, so I think they'd see it as another failure.

7. I used to live in Orange County when Hewitt had a column in a local rag
and I remember him predicting that Barbara Boxer would lose, and Diane Feinstein would lose and Boxer again, etc.

Oh, and several years ago he visited Minnesota and was predicting that the Light Rail would be a disaster. It has been such a financial success in its first six months, that even anti public transportation Republican guv Pawlenty supports extending it to a northern city.

10. Triumvirate of Whiteness
Hugh "I invented the blog" Hewitt, Dennis "Doughboy" Preager and John "Albino Gumby" Gibson, all kind of blend into a bland white blob of gooey right wing points in my mind. Hewitt has the schtick down the best though IMHO.

They don't start half-way through a death spiral.

16. When diehard GOPers volunteer the information that Herr Busch....
...needs to go, he's toast. I'm hearing that a LOT in Huntsville, Alabama, even from defense contractors and retired military personnel.

17. Wasn't This The Comeback That The SOTU Was Supposed To Start???
Or was that the Iraqi elections last fall or whatever PR stunt this regime attempts to pull in an attempt to divert the news cycle. It's always on the heels of more bad news that this regime rolls out another one of these "comebacks". It's setting the bar lower and attempting to marginalize each and every hypocrisy that is now exposed. The measure now isn't where we were 5 years ago, but simply that it isn't as bad today as it was yesterday. It's not a pre 9/11 mentality anymore...it's all a post 9/11 phobia for these goons.
