Condi's Close Adviser Is 26-year-old 'Kid'

When Condoleezza Rice steps out on the world stage, she most likely delivers lines written by a 26-year-old redheaded "kid" - her speechwriter Christian Brose.

"The conversation meandered and seemed uninspired," Rice aides said, until Brose "shyly raised his hand and offered a suggestion that, for Rice, crystallized her foreign policy themes," the Washington Post reports.

Brose was recently named Rice's chief speechwriter, and he often accompanies her when she travels overseas so they can work together sharpening the secretary's speeches.

"Chris can write her voice better than anyone," senior adviser Jim Wilkinson told the Post.

"He's become one of her closest advisers on policy and communications."

4. She can intimidate him. An adult would tell her to stuff it.
Don't mean to insult 26 years olds here. It's Condi's issue.

So, as I understand it, Condi might become the head of the NFL?
Edited on Mon Mar-20-06 07:37 PM by Radio_Lady
Did any of you hear this on the news this evening? I was busy dumping the dishwasher and putting out the garbage.

Is she qualified for the NFL job?

"Polls show that Condi Rice would be a top contender for president in 2008. Rice insists the only job she has her eye on is NFL commissioner. But her fans at www.AmericansforRice.com still hope to draft her for the White House."

Can I throw up now?

These guys come up with the biggest loads of shit in the history of dumping loads of shit. After "Bush sees into the heart of Putin" and every new one that followed, I guess it's getting easier to hold back the vomit - but there's only so much more I can take.

12. I know there are some comments about the "kid" and Condi on this
thread - but can you imagine for one second wanting to go down that road? Would you want to wake up to that in the morning - even once, let alone for the rest of your life?

She surely is the meanest woman to have ever walked the Earth. Must be why boosh looks up to her - she might be worse than Babs.

14. Shrubco is REALLY into the twentysomethings. It must be because of Rove,
who quit college and became a full time hack at a young age.

They had George Deutsch, the 24 year old zampolit (political officer) who was hired to ride herd on NASA scientists and prevent them from espousing the heresy of global warming, and lied about graduating from Texas A&M on his resume (sheesh at least he coulda thought big and lied about graduating from Cal Tech or something)..

Or the other college students who were literally given cabinet level posts in the scam known as the Coalition Provisional Authority:

http://www.cnn.com/2004/US/07/02/erwin.ambush/index.html

Interesting that this Scott Erwin worked for DeLay as well as the CPA. Makes you wonder if the CPA wasn't just a big scam to transfer US tax dollars into Republican hands and campaign coffers via Iraq.

Probably be heading my own agency by now. Could the 20-something trend be a push to expel experienced agency workers & replace them w/young hacks who are only loyal to Bush?

22. Agreed...
One would think that a place like DU wouldn't stoop to ageism but low and behold, here we go. So what he's 26. Good for him. I wish he was plying his talents in a more productive way but we shouldn't lambast him for being young.
