US Massacre / A Different take (graphic)

DU is probably the best breaking news site on the web. Lots of sources lots of good news.

However some folks really jump to conclusions that fit their position. Very Fox news.

There have posted this picture as proof that the US shot women and children at point blank range.



My wife is a MD and has treated gunshot wounds. This is not one. Gunshot wounds leave distinct patterns on entry and exit. Peening is one sign. Bevels that are created when metal hits bone. Like a bb gun impact on glass. That wound looks like trauma from some object. Possible slow fragmentation, though she has never seen a wound from explosives. Certainly not a close range shot from an m-16.

This is a gunshot from a rifle to the jaw of a grown man.



Note the conical damage done by hydrostatic shock.

This post is not made to support the war, the troops, or anything else. Just common sense. Jumping to conclusions with no evidence is questionable.


I am being patient and waiting to see if this is a Jenin Massacre or My Lia.

I believe it is vital that we go with facts as much as possible. BTW, thanks for the graphic warning.
