HEADLINE: Bush Asks U.S. to Look PAST Iraq Bloodshed

(I have no idea what Chimpolini is demonstrating here, maybe how to look past all the carnage.)

CLEVELAND - Beginning the fourth year of an unpopular war, President Bush defended his
Iraq record on Monday against skeptical questioning. He said he could "understand people being disheartened" but appealed to Americans to look beyond the bloodshed and see signs of progress.

Bush fielded questions for nearly an hour at the City Club, a forum known for its tough interrogations of world leaders. Not only was he grilled on Iraq, but he also was asked to justify his warrantless wiretapping program, U.S. relations with Pakistan and his domestic priorities.

The president was asked why he deemed Iraq — which turned out not to have weapons of mass destruction — as enough of a threat three years ago to launch an invasion, in contrast to nuclear-ambitious
Iran today....

"Anybody work here in this town?" Bush joked to laughter as he responded to question after question.
The White House made no attempt to screen either the audience or the questions, said spokesman Scott McClellan.

6. Dear George, Lots of families will find this a little difficult -
it's their loved ones' blood.

You shallow, crass idiot.

And stop saying "I'm keeping you safe". You ain't doing nothing but flying around the country, at our expense, raising money and asking folks to look the other way while your cronies rip off the country. You're not keeping me any safer than if you were back in Texas finagling some real estate scam.

13. Exactly.
Doesn't it look like he's smirking? I swear, if you look closely, his eyes are twinkling, and the corner of his mouth is turned up

= I'll get my way, yet again.
