suggestion: new term
we've heard of plausible denability - basically it's being able to come up with a believable excuse why a person isn't involved with something unsavory

the bush* administration may be practicing plausable denability - howver I think that particular term is inaccurate

A more accurate term would be: PLAUSIBLE BLAME-ability

consider this recent statement by cheney:
"I don't run anything. I'm not in charge of the White House. I'm not in charge of the Defense Department, as I once was, or a congressman from Wyoming," Cheney said.

The statement implies he's just following orders, doesn't make decisions - therefore he's not to blame. He is the VICE-president, and according to the heirarchy of power it could be assumed that as VICE-president he's not in charge -- PLAUSIBLE BLAME-ABILITY

next - on more than one occassion bush* has stated he "listens to his advisors" and "if the Generals' request more men/equipment" he send it... Again the implication is if things aren't going well it's because bush* received "bad advice", therefore he's not to blame -- PLAUSIBLE BLAME-ABILITY

Other bushie staffers do the same, although they are in a better position to say "I was only following orders" - it's still comes down to PLAUSIBLE BLAME-ABILITY

ultimately, this presents a picture of a Leadership vacuum - who's in charge, what's going on - I don't know (3rd base)

there is but point fingers at everybody and anybody when it isn't. I just want an administration that makes decisions based on fact and what is good for the good citizens of the US not corporates
on edit: I like it, it has a ring of truth to it.

2. Preparing for impeachment?
I'm sure he knows that if we get a Democratic Congress and they begin impeachment proceedings that he will be a part of them as much as Bush will. They will bring up Halliburton and his misleading statements in various interviews prior to the war. Looks like some early damage control to me.

7. I think impeachment is at the back of all their heads - I can just.......
.....hear it now "I was just following orders". Wouldn't it be something if Bush got on the witness stand and slipped with something like, "I was just following orders" or "But, but, Cheney, told me to", or better yet, "Rove said everyone would love me."

4. This issue may have to be decided sooner, rather than later.

I did something just after midnight that I virtually NEVER do--I switched over to FAUX snooze, Insanity and sponge Bob were on and shameless hand job was literally screaming about the democrats screaming that everything was all booosh's fault and were denying him the opportunity to run his grift (program) and thus halting his perfectly elegant war. Of course, no doubt, if bush the kush maker could do what he wanted, which was his divine right, the war would be a thundering success, the economy would be booming, and we would all get filthy rich taking in each other's laundry.
The blinders would come off the warm stream media and all gawd's chilluns would have revealed to them the fundamental rightness of their plan to enlighten us all via a near-death experience
so don't talk about the strings and hokey stage dressing.

Everything bushit wanted to do was wonderful and masterful; the obstructionist dimocats oughta be drawn and quartered because their liberal evull wuz stopping the utopia. He further maintained that the crazy libruls had no right, constitutionally or any other -ly, to object or point out any imaginary faults in the plans. Sponge Bob (aka Alan Colmes) pointed out, quite calmly, reasonably and rationally that the disloyal opposition had every right to say or do any damn thing they wanted, within the bounds of legality, to rebuke, explain, debunk, instruct-whatever.

Colmes also pointed to the factual reality that when Clinton was working with NATO and tipping the scales in Bosnia, the obstructionist Reprobate right was doing everything they could, short of armed uprising, to undercut Clenis' efforts and threatening to throw everything from parking tickets to A-bombs at him to stop it or take credit for it.

Colmes (aka Spongebob) calmly questioned why, now that shoes had been traded, was it OK for the roundheels reprobates to do it, but the same thing from the donkey dildos was suddenly vile, illegal, immoral, anti-jeebus, anti-American, statutory rapine and, just basically, not nice!??

In this grim, chilled blood climate, where the the RRs disenfranchise everyone who dares differ on any issue (recall the stupendous success of their "elections have consequences" tantrum and the good Christian de-Baathification of Iraq in 2003.)

I don't seem to be able to draw much entertainment value from the current quandary but, somehow, the doppelgangsterism caught me totally off-guard and the weirdness of the reprobate geniuses, attacking upside down straw men just broke me up! Savagely funny!

Another first--a hats off cheer for fax muse--they did the impossible and brought a little candle-bra in my world. Yay!

Sorta like the difference between an inside joke and inside a joke.

Edit to add: Those priggers are shrill and paniced! They sound like mooses (meese, moosae?) whistling in wolf's gonna eat me style panic. Maybe it's fatigue, but they're going nuts.
