Hillary's E-mail
by Katrina vanden Heuvel

In the March 27 issue of The Nation, Ari Berman writes of top Democratic consultants' strategy to either completely avoid discussing Iraq or support the war while criticizing George Bush's handling of it.

Here's an idea: contact Hillary, the DSCC, and the DCCC--tell them until they take a stand for you, you won't take a stand for them either. The bank is closed. Because while they might not listen to the people, we know that money still talks in Washington.

1. Oh yes!
I haven't told them why but I haven't given them a thing for a couple of months. I guess that's how it's going to be then.

2. There Iraq war is a major issue for me and I will email her.
However it seems to me that senator clinton has alot more vulnerabilites in her voting record than just that. Of course the same can be said for a lot of Senators.

3. I closed the bank to the DSCC & the DCCC some time ago.
I only donate to individual candidates now. I really dislike Rahm Emanuel and will not give a dime to the DCCC while he is in charge of it. Ever! Remember the Illinois Sixth! The DSCC is much the same, I will fund progressive candidates that I believe will advance the issues which I care about, not those issues that the DLC is interested in.

4. You know, it's too bad Rahm can not break free of the political
constraints, because he strikes me as a very intelligent, eloquent person who under independent circumstances could be a great party spokesperson.
