Dimson just threw down the gauntlet to the Dem party w/o
facts. I hope there's someone out there with an appropriate response. This was RE: surveillance/spying.

3. He basically said that he doesn't hear any Dems against
the wiretapping, and equated any disagreement by Dems to being for the terrorists. Paraphrasing, but I look forward to the exact quotes.

5. He said if the dems wanted to say that we didn't need to spy on terrorists
then they should just say that...

It was fucking disgusting....

10. Right. He doesn't understand doing it legally based on the
constitution and the law v. illegally.

This is how they twist it.

6. He said that since the "Democrat" party wants to shut down...
the terrorist survellience program we should have a debate about that. Basically every word out of his mouth has been a lie.

7. they asked him about censure, and he said if the dems are so
against terrorist surveillance, why aren't any of them standing up and calling for an end to it? And if they were so against the patriot act, how come they're not running on "vote for me, I want to take the tools away from law enforcement that helps protect us from terra-ists"

8.  Dems should run on "I will not have a survellience program"
Reid was against the Patriot Act etc. Utter bullshit without explaininig why Reid was against the Act in a certain form. Utter lies that Dems are against survellience programs, just against illegal use of them. This entire press conference was for this purpose. The Dems are opening wide margins against the Rethugs and Bush needs to try to close the gap. A shameful use of a press conference when so many are losing lives in Iraq. I hope the Dems have enough balls to come out smoking on this performance and accuse the President of using fear tactics to garner votes for the Rethugs.

9. Okay
I get it now - this was the real reason chimpy's gracing us with a rare press conference. Rove has decided to use the censure issue. It's a real threat to the pres, he really did break the law and this really is huge to them.
