Why does this news conference remind one of the Bush-Gore debates ?

A total break from reality.

And I suspect the press will spin it in a similar way. Yes, we saw an ogre at the helm. But they will see a courageous leader, willing to face an aggressive press. And Bush is the winner, just like he became the winner of the debates between himself and Gore. Unreal.

1. Never forget this quote: "Don't argue with idiots....
they will only bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience".

I remember those debates with Bush and Gore. They just lowered the bar for Bush, over and over again. He never 'won' a debate, he just did better than people expected and that's what the press wanted to call a 'victory'. Gore didn't stand a chance. Al Gore is too effing intelligent. Having to bring himself down to the level of an infantile George Bush proved a bit tougher than he thought it would be.
