He reminds me of one of my uncles, a man my mother finally threw out for good when he stood on the front lawn, bottle of Johnny Walker popskull in hand, screaming profanity at her at the top of his lungs. He outlived her by only a year, and I'm sure she was waiting for him with a skillet in her hand wherever they went. He drank himself to death.

I remember how fast the guy would go from normal to purple faced and screaming abuse. I see so much of my uncle in Stupid it's frightening. I'm just waiting for it to happen when they've sobered him up enough for one of those Potemkin town meetings. I thought it would happen yesterday when that religious nut asked him about the end times. The "You're not supposed to ask about that" expression on his face was priceless.

I think it will happen eventually. "Dry drunks" produce the same behavior as a snootful when the damage has been done. I just hope the cameras catch it all and it isn't suppressed.

And probably Barbara I and Laura as well.

not that I personally would. But I'd like to see video of that.

From reading the DU thread, it seems CNN cut the video right before he started losing it.
