Bolivia to nationalize natural resources by July: president
LIMA, March 21 (Xinhua) -- Bolivian President Evo Morales said on Tuesday that he would give his life for the nationalization of the country's natural resources, including its rich gas reserves, according to reports from the town of Camiri, southeast of the capital of La Paz. Morales, who has vowed to step up state control in all key industries in the South American country, said he wanted to complete the nationalization process by July 12.

Morales made the promise to local official Gonzalo Moreno, who threatened to burn himself alive if the national oil company YPFBis not brought under total state control. The Bolivian government has said it wanted to regain the control of about 10 companies, especially in the oil-gas andel ectricity sectors. Bolivia has the region's second biggest reserves of natural gasafter Venezuela. Multinational companies have invested 3.5 billion U.S. dollars in the country since a privatization wave in the1990s. 4. I wonder who the American companies are.
Does anyone know? Now in Venezuela, about 3 months ago (December 31) Hugo Chavez kicked out any petroleum companies who refused to become partly nationalized. I think they all conformed, except for Exxon (?). They packed their bags and went home.

A message to the U.S.: the sand of the hourglass are running low. While Washington has been maniacally distracted from the mess in the Middle East, Central & South America has banded together to give the US the message: "your time is up. We are reclaiming our countries, and your days of scandalously cheap energy are over".

It's about time.

5. Bravo for Morales!
But damned, I can't help but wonder if this man has a death wish. South American leaders who nationalize have a strange way of dying prematurely. In fact the only one who has gotten away with it I believe is Castro.
