13. So, the "unscripted questions" are from pre-screened friendlies.
Figures.

Is Helen there today? I would love a question from Helen for Dim Son at every press conference or public appearance.

around and bite you in the ass.

4. I would love to see the screener.
I want to get my hands on a copy of whatever document the goon squad uses to screen the buffoons for these town hall meetings. Or do they just pick registered repugs with a low IQ?

16. "Goon Squad"
A great Elvis Costello song.
Here's a little nibble...

Mother, Father, I'm here in the zoo
I can't come home 'cause I've grown up too soon
I got my sentence
I got my command
They said they'd make me major if I met all their demands

I could be a corp'ral into corp'ral punishment
Or the gen'ral manager of a large establishment
They pat some good boys on the back and put some to the rod
But I never thought they'd put me in the

Goon squad
They've come to look you over and they're giving you the eye
Goon squad
They want you to come out to play
You'd better say goodbye

cont.

11. Buxh ought to pack up AF1 right now and fly over to Iraq
...walk down the main street of Baghad and greet the loving public, visit the newly opened schools, and show us first hand how the media "perception" is inaccurate.

Then we'll ask president Cheney how he feels about the situation.

Edited on Wed Mar-22-06 01:29 PM by Viva_La_Revolution
I want to see that footage, and then I want to see how those schools are doing right now. Are they being used as Ops headquarters? Have they been taken over by insurgents? Are the kids actually able to use them or are the parents too afraid to send them to school?

what's the WHOLE story?

14. then the commentators will blame the media
Edited on Wed Mar-22-06 01:53 PM by rucky
then the radio hosts will blame the media
then there will be an AP article on the media's role in whatever they're being blamed for

meanwhile, politicians will accuse other politicians of making things political... and that'll make it on the blamed media.

and maybe then actors will criticise other actors for not being themselves in movies, then everybody can blame Hollywood.

they've created a strawman of themselves.

18. * doesn't need the media to look like a buffoon - he is doing it himself
They are trying to make this into a communication issue not a bad policy issue. He communicates his bad policies very well.

21. What a plant. Parroting this week's
repuke meme : The media is to blame for not reporting all the wonderful stuff happening in Iraq. Heard some talking head earlier today admit that Iraq is too damn dangerous for reporters to even be out in public.

Anyone else catch the report last night on Nightline from the reporter who went out on a "happy news" story of the filiming of an Iraqi sitcom and while he's with the film crew word comes that the producer was gunned down in the street.

Chaos and bloodshed everywhere, and the Bush Crime Family wants us to ignore it.

22. They are the same as the German citizens of 1938-1945
"We don't want to know!"

"I'm sure he wouldn't be doing such a thing to the Jews."

"WE DIDN'T KNOW! Sorry, all 6 million of you. We just didn't know."

All you "I-need-a-good-news-article-and-keep-the-reality-to-yourselves" folks, you will be despised as much as the apathetic Germans were.

23. Do these people realize the media is owned by Bush's corporate friends?
Do they realize that if there was any "good" news Faux or CNN would have reported it?

I am so sick and tired of stupid, brainwashed Americans. :(
