Just listening to CNN news people on this preacher who was killed in Tennessee. I don't understand what the fascination with this story is for them. They need to get a clue though. There is no such thing as the "perfect family". And something was clearly wrong in that home. You just don't up and shoot your spouse without either being pushed to far or being unstable.

1. As with many of these cases...I would bet there is some type of
sexual angle to this story.

You are right, there is no such thing as a perfect family and that is the achiles heel of the neocon repugs......when you go behind their closed doors there are skeletons in the closet!!!

3. Sexual? Try ABUSE.
Spousal abuse is the main reason women kill. Men kill over sex.

Or she may have been suffering from postpartum psychosis.

Or she may have decided a divorce was too shameful, better to murder him and make sure her kids are eligible for social security.

Who knows?

8. Of innocent victims no less. As opposed to guilty victims, right?

Yikes.

Reporters need to go to a new school or something.

4. the reporter on CNN just now
was saying something like, 'you gotta wonder about the kids....what they may have seen, if they are ok.....'

Um......what an assumption! How does he know that she wasn't protecting those kids?

5. Not to mention shooting him IN THE BACK
...many of these people (having once been a preacher to these kinds of people myself) are very tightly wound time bombs. And the sexual tension among fundies is far greater than anyone could possibly imagine.

7. One also can't help but wonder...
if this had been a black, tongue-talking, snake handling family in the hollows of Mississippi, if we would even know about it. I'm thinking NOT.

11. Oh we would, but the descriptions would be quite different.

Every adjective and descriptive phrase would imply "No surprise it happened to those kind of people."

9. My son, then about 8 or 9,
said "Mom, why is it when they interview the Mom, she always says the dead kid was on the honor roll?"..The strange part is that the kids photo shown usually included gang tattoos on his neck or family photos with all the kids flashing gang signs..

another odd one is the "they were just getting their lives back on track"...(why did they go on that last gang foray....was it one for the road, and then off to the seminary?)

I know it's not nice to talk ill of the dead, but especially when kids die, it's IMPORTANT to tell the truth...even if it hurts..

/half sarcasm. On edit: a super holy man. In that little community he could probably do no wrong.
