Protectionism BACKLASH-demmit, I WANT protectionism
I don't give a fig anymore for all these people, including Homeland Security warning me not to be such a protectionist and be for China examining all the cargo.

Who's going to PROTECT me from BUSH???????

1. Perhaps we should build a wall around texas.
That would keep all those bad texas oil mafia types out. Sorry about the good texans who will get trapped on the wrong side. We have to do something to protect ourselves.

3. well it is an answer
so I'd have to disagree with you on that. Perhaps not a good answer. But what can we do? The Texas Oil Mafia is wrecking everything.

4. You and every other working person
The irony of the "free" trade situation is that all the third world countries who have gleefully accepted what used to be our industry have very strong protectionist laws so that nobody will raid those jobs from THEM.

If the working stiffs in this country ever realize how badly they've been screwed by multinational corporations and their bought and paid for government, there will be true hell to pay, and I wouldn't be surprised to see the first industry the building and use of guillotines.

I can knit. I await the tumbrils.
