The GOP seems to be obsessed with this idea... it was in Bush's State of the Union Address as well. Yet, I see no evidence that this is a real issue. Can anyone point me to evidence that mad scientists are trying to create human/animal hybrids?

about three years ago.

Canada.

It may seem quite crazy, but so did a lot of things we take as commonplace today. I just think the GOP is wasting energy worrying about it. China and N. Korea will have no qualms about proceeding with this research if it interests them. So if it's possible, and feasible, they will exist, and there's NOTHING the GOP can do about it.
