they are mexicanos,texacanos,or even more simply chicanos...they are mostly to a degree an indigeounous indian spaniard blend.....and had they merely stopped there their claim may have been incontrivertible-they should at least be given the southwest...but like the spics and micks and pollocks of New York they have spread themselves across the continent...Once you spread your seed,we are ALL invested,my semi-black grandchildren along with your semi-asian or somewhat hispanic...It is way to late to subdivide...that ship has sailed-if you jump a spic,or mick,or a whop or whatever current term applies to an indian you are not fond of....God Bless the children that interbreed....it makes me know that hating muslims doesn't get it=he is a polite young man who behaves better than me...So the entire bring up roots and be celtic,hispanic,franco,native, makes me laugh....if you are "pure" over generations your people were dweebs-you should beg for merciful change...

If you have a problem, talk about it. The construction site I work on is about 80% Mexican. We don't have a problem with racisim! We call every monday Lunada de Frejolies, or Beaner Monday. We call the days I get off, every other Friday per my union contract, either Diea de los basurra blanco or honky friday. No one on my jobsite is offended by these terms. In fact, I would be willing to bet that if push came to shove, everyone would back me up cause it really isin't about race, it's about mutual respect. We joke with each other, but we resect each other.

...I think almost all of us should be past first generation accusations....IE:your Mom and Dad may have had Irish servants and someones great grandfather may have owned someone Else's great-grandfather....in the entire southwest,there are very few indigenous tribes...and a hip chicano ain't one of them...The original post mentioned the Israeli "right of Return" and asked about its application to the american southwest...my take is that what we call a "mexican" does not qualify unless we admit the basic fraudulence that attaches to quotas...
