Celebrate the good news out of Iraq today.... only 81 killed
Edited on Mon Mar-27-06 11:07 AM by RedEarth
over the last two days....just think, it could have been 82, or even 90 or 100. So you naysayers, you hand wringers, you people that hate freedom try celebrating the good news.

Don't dwell on the 30 people who were beheaded or the Imam that was killed or the mosque that was blow up, think of the millions of people in Iraq that are still alive...that still have electricity for at least two hours a day, that still can travel freely in their own home(but not outside of it). Think of the good things, celebrate the democracy we brought to Iraq.

1. 51 killed without being beheaded. Great news!
Many of the corpses NOT mutilated, and many were killed execution style and NOT tortured first! Freedom on the march!

3. I don't know
Isn't getting beheaded sexier? I mean you get up to Heaven and they have to reattach your head, isn't that a bit of a conservsation piece?

I can imagine all the people who just got shot feeling a little wistful.

5. I think it's harder on the survivors.
Particularly since beheadings are reserved for criminals, and....nobody is really saying where the heads are being found in a mass killing.

See, THAT'S terrorism. An IED on the side of the road to blow up a military vehicle isn't terrorism.

6. Unless it also kills civilians
Particularly if place in an area where civilian casualties are likely.

8. Well everybody can come to their own conclusions
But I would not think the DoD is the end all and be all of this particular debate.

2. Maybe Faux or Newsmax will start with...
Millions not killed by suicide bombers yesterday
or
Many Iraqis have their heads still attached after yesterday
or
39 of those killed yesterday had their heads still attached and were not blown to bits.
or
Arms and legs still attached to headless bodies.

When is faux news, Newsmax, and the RNC going to start the positive stories like this..

4. As CNN reported this morning - no American soldiers died!!!
Yes it's true - even though Iraqis are dying, it's GOOD NEWS that we aren't losing as many soldiers, and compared to October of last year, the number of solders killed every month has DROPPED from 96 to only 26 so far this month. Isn't that fantastic??? x(
