Seattle Killer Spray paints NOW on porches
This article struck me as kind of odd:

http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/local/264372_shooting25ww.html

So this guy goes to an after party where everyone is dressed like zombies. Comes back and blows a bunch of people away. Not before, however, he spray paints the word NOW in orange on close by porches.

Any thoughts on this. Isnt there a new christian movement that uses NOW as its key slogan?

6. Well, I think I found something about the guy who owns the house
<snip>

According to King County property records, the home is owned by a man named D. Gregg Doyle. It is just a few blocks from Miller Community Center, where Little League baseball games were underway Saturday morning.Property managers were in contact with police, Nollette said.

The group moved into the house in November, Lowe said, and the residence quickly became a party house. There was constant loud music and noise and the people who came and went always wore black, with heavy black make-up, he said.

They were "not good neighbors, but they're not bad neighbors," Lowe said.

FWIW, I think the Doyle is a Democrat:

7. "Zombie" Shooter Described As "Teddy Bear"
Edited on Mon Mar-27-06 01:47 PM by IanDB1
UPDATE, MON, 9:00 AM: The man who police say opened fire in a house full of partygoers in Seattle is being described as a "teddy bear" who was kind, sweet and gentle.

Aaron Kyle Huff lived with his twin brother and delivered pizzas since moving to Seattle from Montana. An apartment manager calls Huff and his brother "twin teddy bears."

Those who knew Huff expressed shock when they learned he was suspected of shooting six people to death before killing himself.

It's a sharp contrast to the man police describe as "extremely dangerous" and say he "approached the house shooting and didn't stop shooting."

There are a bunch of people in Washington named Huff who donated mostly to Republicans:

Traffic stop yields money, guns and drugs
From staff reports

A routine traffic stop by a Colorado County Sheriff's Department deputy lead to discovery of a handgun and

On May 12 at 3:45 p.m., Colorado County Sheriff's Deputy Jeff Head conducted a traffic stop on Highway 71 near Hildebrandt Road in Colorado County for speeding and illegal window tint. During the traffic stop, Head made contact with the driver and front seat passenger and detected the strong odor of marijuana inside the vehicle and also found two fully loaded pistol magazines under the leg of the back seat passenger.

Head immediately called for assistance to safely manage the situation. All occupants of the vehicle were checked for weapons. The back seat passenger was found to be wearing a shoulder holster under his sports jersey.

The driver was identified as Aaron Kyle Huff , 19, of Bastrop. The owner of the vehicle was the front seat passenger, Bryan Stanford Punchard, 22, of Bastrop. The back seat passenger was identified as Gary Yarbrough Brooks, 20, of Houston.

A vehicle search was conducted, which resulted in the recovery of a Glock .40 caliber handgun; less than one gram of crack cocaine; less than one gram of crushed crack cocaine; several large bottles of prescription codeine cough syrup totaling 5 lbs. 12 oz.; and various other containers with codeine syrup.

"Brooks, also had a bag of marijuana stuffed in his shoe and attempted to discard crack cocaine by smashing into the road," Lt. Troy Neisner of the sheriff's department said.

Punchard had over $1,553 with him, mostly in $20 dollar bills. The suspect vehicle, described as a 1996 Ford Taurus, also contained an assortment of electronic equipment. Forfeiture and seizure were filed on behalf of the county for the Taurus, currency and electronic equipment, May 13.

All suspects were transported to the Colorado County Detention Facility and booked for manufacture or delivery of controlled substance, a first degree felony. While in custody, Colorado County correctional officers found Punchard in possession of another small bag of marijuana and he was additionally charged with possession of prohibited substance in correctional facility, a third degree felony. Brooks was charged with possession of controlled substance, less than one gram, a state jail felony. Brooks was also charged with unlawfully carrying a weapon, a class A misdemeanor; and possession of marijuana, less than two ounces, a class B misdemeanor.

Agencies assisting in the investigation were the Texas Department of Public Safety and the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.

Justice of the Peace Pct. 1, Dodie Dungen magistrated the men and set bond.. Punchard was released on May 13 on a total bond of $18,500; Huff was released the same day on a $10,000 bond; and Brooks was released on May 14 on a total bond of $18,500.

Here's an aside: If a cop fails to find all your drugs after he arrests you, but then finds it once you're actually in jail, they get to charge you with another felony?

I suppose you could say, "Officer, you missed a bag of pot in my shoe," but then you'd be incriminating yourself. So, doesn't that violate his fifth amendent right?

Shooting at party shocks those who knew alleged gunman

NANCY ROBERTS TROTT; Associated Press
Published: March 27th, 2006 07:19 AM
SEATTLE — Aaron Kyle Huff lived with his twin brother and delivered pizzas during the five years he lived in Seattle. They were “twin teddy bears,” their apartment manager said, “the kindest, sweetest, gentlest people.”

But police say the man who opened fire on partygoers after a weekend rave, killing six and wounding two, was anything but gentle. He “approached the house shooting and didn’t stop shooting” until he killed himself, police spokesman Sean Whitcomb said.

<snip>

“It is very clear that he had thought out a murderous spree, a campaign,” Kimerer said. “He had hundreds of rounds and weapons. An assault weapon was found in his vehicle, in addition to the shotgun and the handgun and numerous rounds that he took with him into the house. A machete was found. Flex cuffs were found in the vehicle.”

Police say the victims, many of them dressed up as zombies in black with white face paint, had met the 28-year-old Huff at a rave called “Better Off Undead” Friday night and invited him back to an after-party at their rental home on Capitol Hill.

Huff left the after-party at about 7 a.m. Saturday and returned wearing bandoliers of ammunition and carrying a 12-gauge pistol-grip shotgun and a handgun. He fired on the 30 young partygoers gathered in the house before walking out and killing himself when confronted by a police officer.

13. I had understood that he was charged with a felony for that incident
which would have barred him for life from so much as touching a gun, had he been convicted.

Was he a convicted felon, or did he plea bargain that incident down to a misdeameanor or something?

He used a shotgun for this crime, too (the deadliest weapon he owned...)

14. Yep, he pled guilty to a misdemeanor
And now some folks are coming forward and saying that since this guy fell through the cracks, law-abiding gun owners throughout the state should be punished. Here we go again...
