Some good local news from this weekend
I spent this Saturday walking precincts for Marcy Winograd's insurgent campaign to unseat Jane Harman in the CA Democratic primary June 06. I walked streets of Venice and Harman is almost universally hated and despised there.

Winograd's campaign is really taking off and, on Sunday, she was on "Background Briefing with Ian Masters" on KPFK and was taking no prisoners, not backing off one bit in her indictment of Harman.

Harman is pathetically trying to spin Winograd's primary challenge as putting the 36th in play for Repukes, even though the Republican on the ballot is completely unknown and the 36th is an overwhelmingly Democratic district. Moral: whoever wins the June primary goes to Congress.

If you'd like to learn more about Marcy's campaign, you can check it out at www.winogradforcongress.com. She's the real deal!

1. She was on Thom Hartmann today too!
Marcie is everywhere! Good deal, the only thing I can say nice about Jane is I like her scarves (I'm only trying to be nice here too).

2. If I can be snitty, Jane now looks like something that
just walked out of a wax museum. Every time I see her on televsion, I recoil at her make-up. (I hope that isn't sexist.)

3. Q to mods: Should I have put this in a more specific forum?
I'm thinking maybe GD: Politics or a California forum would have been better choices.

Sorry, my brain is fried. Please feel free to move this if you feel it is merited.
