"Bush attended immigrant ceremonies today in a bright red tie
Edited on Mon Mar-27-06 08:00 PM by linazelle
to match the backdrop of a giant flag behind him. 'Putting together a comprehensive bill for immigration is not going to be easy...' he told the audience...":puke:--NPR news reading at its best.

Besides the fact that the newsreader practically waxed poetic recalling Bush's wondrous presence at the ceremony, I was disgusted hearing Bush whine yet again about things not being easy.

Is he the only pResident to have ever faced the problems he's created?

What IS easy for him?

Maybe he ought to give up the job since he's always whining about "hard work."

1. Somebody tonight made a comment (I think it was Sensenbrenner
and I AGREED WITH HIM, that it was odd for Bush to be attending a ceremony for LEGAL NEW CITIZENS while touting the program for illegals.

2. I don't think he's against it--too many potential lost votes
He's fence sitting...ala the "comprehensive" bill he's talking about.

Ted Kennedy has already put forth a comprehensive proposal. I guess he'll steal that like they steal everything else.

3. Hard work
I've said that all along... I have never before heard a public figure, a politician, a POTUS or anyone else voted into office (and I use the term loosely) talk about how hard their job was. He needs to find something that better suits his skill set... I bet Brownie can get him a job shoveling out some stalls in one of those ritzy horse ranches. He never tires of shoveling shit. He shovels shit endlessly, each and every day. It's effortless for him!
