Is it still worthy of a tin foil hat when they're discussing it on NPR?

There was a GOP strategist on NPR today who said what the president really needs to do is change the subject. (you know, because everything is falling apart)

His suggestion was for Cheney to resign and Condi to be named VP, thus setting up another person for a 2008 run. He also suggested that Rove be cut loose now and allowed to take over the GOP as a whole (to better set him up to run the 08 campaign/election. Further, it was suggested that Lieberman be named to the new cabinet.

I've heard the very same things tossed about on DU for over a year and, inevitably, the items are poo-pooed upon rather quickly. So, tell me: Do you still need to wear your tin foil hat to discuss the stuff that's being discussed on NPR?

1. No, but what should be happening, is these

GOP guys should be saying, "you know, I've been reading DU and what they've been talking about for a year or so makes a lot more sense than what we've been talking about. We need to get rid not only of the crooks, incompetents and croneys that have invaded the GOP and been installed in government, but we also need to walk away from their bad ideas. The first bad idea is inflating the power of the presidency over the other two branches of government."

2. Aluminum, not tin foil
Tin foil hasn't been available for decades.

4. Fred Barnes of Fox News plugging his book. He was pathetic.
An absolute dork-in-denial.
He thinks that it is good that Cheney keeps his hotel room TVs only on Fox News. Yes, that's a good idea. A world leader with only one information source - and lying propaganda one at that. Smart.

5. Is that who it was?
I joined the program late and didn't get to hear who was talking. I think I heard a bit of the clip about Cheney and the televisions. Was it that he wants them turned on before he arrives?

6. Yes and yes.
It was "Fresh Air w/ Terry Groce," right? He was pathetic. His book is about Bush being a "rebel," even though he is the son of a president and was born into privilege. Absolutely disgusting. He supported the war, and then thinks he can tell us that Condi Rice should be president? Idiot.
