So, why did Andy Card call it quits?
I know this topic has been covered! But, I find it very interesting that Andy Card has decided to step down from his position.

5. I'm thinking it's the 12 hour delay
He delayed ordering the surrender of the e-mails. I suspect he's been served notice that he is a target of the investigation.

Hope springs eternal...

9. I think that is it too. I don't think he would be stepping down if the
fire breathing Fitzgerald wasn't hanging around the corner.

God Bless Patrick J. Fitzgerald. :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

I think they continue to rotate people in and out of the game just like a sports team. That way no critical momentum can attach itself to any one person. Moving targets.

Others have left too, and not because of the 'sinking ship' theory. This pattern is indicative of strategy.

8. I'm wondering what took him so long?
That West Wing has got to be one crazy looney bin these days. No wonder Bush spends so much time with his rug. It's the only thing that makes sense to him anymore.

14. I don't know but ..... David Safavian resigned just before he was arrested
and indicted in the Abramoff affair.

Claude Allen resigned, just before he was indicted and arrested for petty theft.

Scooter Libby resigned also, was it just before being indicted, or right after?

Douglas Feith resigned just before becoming the target of an investigation.

18. Rove's indictment...
Would you want to be Cheif of that Staff after Rove is forced to resign. Rove is the only one holding that place together. If Fitz indicts Rove, Card would be left holding the shitbag. I'd have bailed too.
