when Oliver North is now the moderate.

6. ....the same thing every military man w/o a "thing" for torture
has been saying all along.

Yah, it is grim when "shredder" becomes the voice of reason.

3. I can't look either. And I don't know why he isn't Sec of the Treasury.
That bloody sonuvabitch got a lot of people killed. He's a natch for the Bush administration job and a Congresional medal.

4. You make a good point. They put Negroponte in there, so
why not North?

7. I used to translate for Roxanne Dunbar Ortiz.

During our f@cking with Nicaragua.

It was so strange for me, to be translating conversations that our government claimed were not happening. (Because if the two sides weren't talking, then we had a reason to interfere.)

Her last book thinks about how the tactics we used there have been exported to Iraq. "Blood on the Border".

11. You bet. And those death squads that have appeared in Iraq
aren't just an accident.

We put them there.

This will never stop until we stop it.

9. It's wrong, it puts our people in danger and it doesn't work.
I can't believe we are even having to say this.

I don't recognize my country.

13. You know, I wouldn't care if North said Iraq is a war crime
He's still a crook. He still betrayed the country. He's walking about free when he, like the rest, should still be in prison for their roles in Iran-Contra.

America fell through the looking glass a long, long time ago.
