2. Busby-- Ready For the Long Slog
Thanks for linking to my Down With Tyranny article on Francine Busby. I've been following this race caefully-- even before the former seat holder, the now imprisoned Republicrook and extreme right-wing loon Randy "Duke" Cunningham, resigned-- and I've seen Francine (despite being a progressive Democrat) get better and better known in this conservative Republican district. Francine is a common-sense problem solver and a reformer. Democrats, independents and even moderate Republicans have gotten behind her clean-up campaign and she is way ahead of her nearest Republican competitor, ex-congressman/lobbyist Brian Bilbray. But it isn't likely that the crowded Special Election in 13 days (April 11) will find Busby will the magic 50%. She'll come in #1 but will, in all likelihood, have to compete against Bilbray again before she can turn a once-safe red seat blue. She's going to need all the help we can give her. Volunteers and contributions are crucial. How? Click on the link above.

3. Alright, you've that proven you CAN indeed wring blood from a stone!
Only because I still maintain a warm spot in my heart for San Diego & hate what Cunningham has done to the name of so many things which once stood for integrity. I wish I was still out there and could play a more active role in this race.
