1. The World Nut Daily is hardly a reliable source
it is a right-wing litterbox liner.

5. If a person has to look at these websites to justify his/her position
on the immigration issue, it is evidence that the person has bought into the right-wing propaganda.

4. Maybe, but the marchers' point has been raised many times before
Everyone who came to these shores without permission, and all their unwanted descendants, should leave. That includes us children of invaders and "illegal" immigrants. :hi:

Or is immigration permissible when accompanied by force of arms?

Edited on Wed Mar-29-06 11:29 AM by John Barrett
Some of these people are sounding more like invaders than immigrants. I don't care where the news comes from if it is accurate. We probably agree wholeheartedly that news should be presented as unbiased and objective (notice I didn't say fair and balanced which we know is BS) Nuthin but the facts mam.

3. Good old World Nut Daily, always chomping around the fringes of an
issue. I suppose it's good to have crazyass outlets like that, to give the drooling bastards a place to vent.

This was sent in an e-mail, and was just curious what the response would be here. If you don't like it, don't respond. Or are you the Posting Police?

11. A title "World Net Daily claims say gringos, not illegals, have to go
would probably more accurately describe the article for DUers.

12. If so, they have a point.
The annexation of the southwest US was a result of an unjust and immoral war of aggression. The Mexican people are in the main mestizo and therefore are indigenous to this continent. The US is, by and large a settler colonialist country that, instead of intermarrying with the land's inhabitants, waged a campaign of genocide against them.

14. I hope they know that "them's fightin' words"
They invite the absolute worst sort of reaction from the absolutely worst form of reactionaries.

This is exactly the sort of shit that will carry the continent into both political chaos and the killing fields.

20. Is this analogy all wrong?
Am I looking at this analogy all wrong? BTW this doesn't apply to all but I would surmise it applies to a significant portion of the demonstrators.

They or their parents came into our house as uninvited guests, sipped drink and accepted our financial help for food, had their healthcare taken care of by our physician who sent us the bill, and then have the audacity to proclaim that it is now their house.

22. Wrong, well, maybe, maybe not. But I'll guarantee it's dangerous.
Edited on Wed Mar-29-06 04:02 PM by HereSince1628
Each sides' perspective is going to effectively rationalize the call to its own defense.

It's the sort of rhetoric that draws lines in the sand and rallies supporters to both sides.

I don't want to see Los Angeles experience the violence that has visited Beirut, or Northern Ireland. I sure as hell don't want to see the sort of escalation that could result from leaders with a "post-911" nationalist mentality.

16. Racism isn't restricted to white males
All societies and genders and ethnicities are inherently racist...believe it or not. I guarantee that if you went to Mexico or anywhere in the world there would be a tendency on the part of those who live there to resent you, at one level or another because you are different. Is it right....of course not, but it happens. If you start taking jobs or negatively intefering in their culture, the resentment will go up. Don't make this an American phenomenon.
