Poll question: The Patrick J. Fitzgerald Interview - Who should it be?
Once the CIA Leak Investigation is wrapped up (I know, it may be a while), who do you think should interview Fitzgerald one on one? My guess is Charlie Rose. Some may say Fitzgerald avoid interviews, but surely he knows that he owes the American people a candid interview, at least for once.

He has integrity. He's not a media whore like Ken Starr was.

6. I know he has integrity.
But you don't have to be a media whore to grant one interview.

If he has something to say he can write a report. I don't see why HE should be the story.

18. Actually he can't write
a report on the investigation. There has been some discussion, as a few in congress want a report, but it is not an option under the terms he is operating.

I think the question was about who, were it possible, would be best suited to interview Fitzgerald. That is distinct from him being the story. For example, his presentation last October, regarding the indictment of Mr. Libby, was fascinating and indeed refreshing, in this day and age. People's interest in hearing his point of view is a positive thing.

4. I Voted Charlie Rose
because his audience covers a broader spectrum, and yet he allows guests like Noam Chomsky to have wide latitude in presenting thier points of view.

7. Jon Stewart or Steven Colbert would be a hoot
but it may just be even funnier if one of the hard core "presstitutes" and apologists for this administration were slayed and reduced to "a burbling mass of protoplasm" by Fitz's towering intellectual prowess, honesty, and astute clarity.

But,no question, that thread was a keeper. I think it was around the time of Scooter's indictment that you said you'd press Fitz's pants.:D We were all having fun that day!

As the president for life of the PFEB, I could get to the bottom of some of those hard-hitting questions we've all got. Of course, cat_girl25 would be my lovely assistant...

Wouldn't you like some answers to the following?

If you were a tree, what kind of tree would you be?

Tell us how you felt when you were named one of "People" magazine's Sexiest Men Alive.

Box -- oh, that's just too easy, isn't it?

I'm sure I'll be able to come up with more probing questions. In the meantime, vote for me!

Julie

I would love to see Keith Olbermann interview him, but I'm wondering if it would turn into a snark-off. I'd also actually like to see our one true love PF on the Daily Show!

No one gets to the truth better. Seriously. All of Fitzie's female fans would find out anything they'd want to know about him. Of course this would never happen but it was the first name that came to my mind.

in the corporates who has any sense, any intestinal fortitude and who doesn't talk over his guests while they're answering a question he asked.

I think he would ask questions that people really want to know the answers to and would let Fitz give a full explanation, instead of just cutting Fitz off and moving on to another subject.

Of course, I wouldn't turn down the job

24. I voted Charlie Rose just because if interviewed by KO
it would be widely played as "liberal" media. Even though I don't think KO is "liberal" media. I would love KO to interview him but that is my only fear.

I vote for Larissa because she is very knowledgeable on the issues of the case and is in a better position to
ask relevant follow ups.

27. My first knee-jerk reaction:
Larisa Alexandrovna. Especially after reading her brilliant three part interview of Michael Ledeen.

Jason Leopold is a close second. Really, it has to be an interview by someone intimately acquainted with the case already, someone who knows the right questions to ask.

29. 60 Minutes - There is no substitute!
It has to be high profile for high impact. No one touches 60 Minutes for that.

The second interview, however, should be Mr. Olbermann, but have it start on the Today Show and conclude on Countdown.

BTW, Chris Wallace is on Fox, not CBS. Chris's dad is on CBS.

35. No matter who interviews him
he will not comment on certain things, as it is against the law. Seeing his ethics at work in that Press Conference announcing Libby's indictment, none should expect much more from him, he JUST WON'T DO IT!!
