The New Bosses

Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed, to me:
I lift my lamp beside the golden door
to extract great profit and wealth from thee.
When I have reached my stated goals,
I shall set upon the tired refuse to leave.
Douse the lamp, lit in haste, close and bolt the door
for I have no true care for any other than me.

Redefine them as economic combatants,
toss them hard on a prison concrete floor,
extract more suffering, unlucky to not be affluent,
feed us some more underclass, make war, capture some more.
Personification of the new incarceration state,
with a prison behind every luxury galore,
millions unearthed disenfrahicsed, locked in cellular hate,
a state that destroys its own, cynical anglican chore.

Spend a kings hoarde on repeat bombing somebody,
then complain theres not as much surplus as before,
erode the value of all the persons without money,
pavement to walk on when you visit the fancy store.
The new collosus stands squarely on top of us,
toss it off, escape to the free slave omnibus.
