I know the MSM did not cover the Democrats but where is the NEWS?
Within 5 minutes when bush* starts talking there is a news blurb about what he has said. I know the 'news' media did not COVER the speach, but it WAS a NEWS CONFERENCE. Where are the REPORTS? You know, news blurbs about WHAT the Democrats said? I keep refreshing, thinking there will be something in Latest Breaking News ABOUT the 'news' conference, but NOTHING. Not only is it not being covered, it is not even being REPORTED?

Like a tree falling in the forest with no one to HEAR, does it make a noise? :grr:

1. It will be up right after the report on
Edited on Wed Mar-29-06 03:54 PM by blm
the attack Kerry made on the swiftliars at a speech in front of the Firefighters Convention in August 2004. And after his healthcare proposal. And after his major speech on port security. And after the report on his Iraq withdrawal plan.

The GOP control of broadcast media IS the Dem problem and why the public is actually unaware of their efforts and plans over the past 7 years. It's been obvious since Gore ran in 2000 and even the reason WHY the GOPs got away with impeaching Clinton for having a girlfriend.

2. The GOP and the news media are subsidiaries of Big Business
It's not the GOP per se you have an issue with. Your path ultimately will force you to question Big Business itself in Movement Corporatism.

4. this quote is absolutely correct:
''The GOP control of broadcast media IS the Dem problem and why the public is actually unaware of their efforts and plans over the past 7 years.''

and it infuriates me NO end to see the idiotic DEMOCRATS on TV AGREE when some fascist prick say the dems have no message, instead of pointing out this very obvious fact

this is one of the main reasons the myth of the liberal media spread in the first place and endures even today

these sorts of lies must not be allowed to pass without comment by any pundit/dem op, whenever or wherever they're encountered

I'm so sick of this garbage

great post!

Democrats Outline 'Real Security' Plan
By Susan Jones
CNSNews.com Senior Editor
March 29, 2006

(CNSNews.com) - Democrat leaders will gather in Washington today, for what they describe as a "major event" -- the unveiling of their "comprehensive" plan to protect America.

They call the plan "Real Security." But some Republicans call it an election-year ploy. Democrats accuse Republicans of talking tough, but they say Republican "incompetence" has made America less safe. "Democrats will offer tough and smart policies to provide the real security that Americans expect and demand," said a press release announcing the policy unveiling.

According to wire reports, Democrats will promise to "eliminate" Osama bin Laden and finish the job in Afghanistan; they will discuss a "responsible redeployment" of U.S. forces from Iraq -- but set no timetable for withdrawal; they will advocate full Iraqi sovereignty; and they will call for port security and alternative energy sources, among other policy recommendations.

"Sound familiar? It should," said Sen. John Cornyn (R-Tex.) Writing for the National Review Online Wednesday, Cornyn said the Democrats are outlining policy items that the Bush administration and Republican Congress have implemented -- or that Democrats have blocked.

Yeah, it's the kind of snotty shit we'd expect from CNS, but the corporate media coverage won't be all that much different.

8. well, yeah, I kinda hoped folks'd pick up on that
to be fair, there are other news wire stories out there covering it, like, um

http://www.upi.com/NewsTrack/view.php?StoryID=20060329-020140-6533r

http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/ap/politics/3756726.html

http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/03/29/democrats.security.ap/

But as predicted, they're not all that different from the Cracker News item I'd posted. The CNN piece, for example, has "Lacking in Details" as a subhead, and makes sure to quote Darth Cheney.
