"The Real News"

That is the new name for the planned channel formerly called "Independent World Television."

I first saw the change today, on a new webpage which says:

No corporate dollars.
No government funding.
No commercials.

No strings.

The Real News
You have the right to know.

The founder of "The Real News" is Paul Jay, a producer for the Canadian Broadcasting Company. The channel should be available in September 2007 in English-speaking countries: the US, Canada, Australia, the UK, South Africa, and India.

They are being advised by Janeane Garofalo (Air America Radio) Amy Goodman (Democracy Now!) and others.

It will be streamed on the web, and shown on satellite channel "Link TV.

This is great! I've signed up and now it's time to spread the word.
Thank you so much for sharing this. I read TONS of stuff about what's
going on in this world, but I usually have to check about 20-40 websites
to find REAL stories. This is EXACTLY what the world desperately needs

2. I've signed up, too, but I haven't gotten an email from them in a

..long time.

Maybe after they complete their new website, they'll email us more often.
