Kaloogian replaces fake Baghdad picture with a more peaceful perspective
Edited on Wed Mar-29-06 09:26 PM by Atman
Even Newsweek has picked up on this story, so Kaloogian was forced to find another photo which showed how peaceful Baghdad is. See...you can almost smell the falafel stands and hear the laughter of children before they're blown up by IED's!

===

I mean, really...does Kaloogian's real replacement photo show much more? They took "hundreds" of photos while visiting, he said, but THIS is all they could find? From the airplane? Where the fuck were they when they took this shot?

2. I see a vast field of falafels, standing erect in the summer breeze,
gently swaying, with one TV pundit gazing into the falafel forest longingly....

4. Republicans seem to count flying over a city as a 'visit'
How could we forget * in 2003 over Baghdad and 2005 over NOLA?

5. If you look very carefully...
Edited on Wed Mar-29-06 10:03 PM by Fridays Child
...you cannot help but notice all of the happy Iraqis, dancing in the streets. Do you see the children holding hands and skipping, on their way to school? And just look at the Iraqi mommies snipping wildflowers, which they will place in vases that are brimming with the clean water that flows in abundance from each and every kitchen faucet and set upon dining tables in their fully electrically-powered homes. What is wrong with you people? Why can't you see this? /sarcasm

10. I'm guessing the hotel room
It's rather limited field of view of nothing of particualr interest. Classic out the window shot.

The tour was limited to Kuwait, miltary bases and the Green and International Zones. This farce of "fact tour" didn't dare go anywhere a real journalist would go, and they didn't ask questions a real journalist would.

and told that it's Baghdad and Iraq.

Some of them are such idiots that I wouldn't put it past the Bushies to disorient them that way. After all....when one doesn't speak another language all street signs in a foreign language could be Iraqi. And when one doesn't know the customs of a country they invaded then folks walking around in Western Dress holding hands could just be Central Park or the Washington Mall on any weekend.

:eyes: I laughed when I read those posts...but what if it's TRUE?
