Fairfield feline under house arrest now media celebrity
Apparently the news media is under such incredible pressure to avoid reporting on *'s incompetence that they are falling over themselves, going after this 'scoop'

"It was on CNN this morning. It's ridiculous," Oberhand said Wednesday of Lewis' supposed reign of terror in a Holland Hill neighborhood. "The Associated Press probably got it on the wire and everybody ate it up."

Lewis' fame has spread far and wide via spots on TV news and radio, accounts on Internet sites such as the Drudge Report and MSN, and write-ups in national newspapers.

The nationally syndicated "Inside Edition" dispatched a crew to Cisero's home Wednesday and plans to air a segment on Lewis today. Jon Stewart's "Daily Show" also wants Lewis, said Ron Merly, Cisero's boyfriend.

2. This sort of media attention is going
to have a bad effect on the kittens.

Can't we have more stories about GOOD cats?

5. Just imagine what our media could do if this cat spend 41 hours
in Wall mart. It would take them decades for sure to stop covering the story.

7. KO covered this yesterday
After considerable protestation that his exec producer was forcing him to cover the story.

9. I caught this on KO, too.
He had a really good interview with the animal control officer, who seemed both sensible and compassionate. Her choices were to have Lewis put down or order him to be kept indoors where he's fine. She made the right choice, unlike his owners, who repeatedly let him out.:eyes:

And, despite Keith's protests, he really seemed to enjoy this. If you caught it, he recently had a pretty long interview with the owners of the cat who fell 80 feet and survived. He actually had the cat watch the film footage to see how he'd react... IMHO, KO gets a kick out of these stories.:D

8. This is the same CT town (next to Westport)
that turned out enmass to thwart the local utility from destroying escaped monk parakeets' nests on utility polls.

Threat from cats?

Matthews should be all over this, like Colbert and bears!
