Larry Johnson: "Blaming Saddam is a pathetic gesture by an embattled ...
... President. Josh Bolten needs to smack the speech writer who allowed this drivel to come out of Bush's mouth. Up to this point the Iraqis may have believed the chaos in Iraq was part of a covert plan we were executing without clueing them in on our true intentions. With this speech they may finally realize that George Bush really does not know what he is doing and is making it up as he goes along.

Do read all of Larry's Saddam Hussein, Puppet Master? at:

Last week it was the media's fault. This week, it's Saddam's. Maybe those who've speculated that Rove started this war so that Bu$h could don the mantle of "war president" for purely political reasons are correct.

In any event, he planned and continues to wage a war of aggression and those are crimes no matter what excuse he uses for all the atrocities his actions continue to enable.

Get our troops out. Support Murtha's plan. And, bring Bu$h to trial.

If You're pro-Bush, You're Anti-America

Give them time. And it's not like they haven't complained in the past about Clinton failing to solve every problem in the world by 2000 so that the Bush administration didn't have to deal with anything, and could get right to work looting the Treasury.

3. Hey UL !!!
"With this speech they may finally realize that George Bush really does not know what he is doing and is making it up as he goes along."

Does anybody else remember * being on Letterman during the run up to the '00 election ?

Letterman asked him what he would do under a certain circumstance that I don't quite recall.
*'s answer was "I'd fake it." Letterman laughed in total disbelief and said " Is that how you'd be as President?" * sorta nodded.

Well that coupled with "It'd be a lot easier if this was a dictatorship. As long as I got to be the dictator." are probably the few honest things he's said in all these years.

7. The very few times Bu$h has been honest he has asserted his ...
... total disregard for any opinion or any option other than what he wants, when he wants it.

He's unlikely to escape the fate that others like him, throughout history, have experienced.

Peace.

5. Saddam had the fundie population contained
and we had Saddam contained.

Why on earth did we decide to take that reponsibility (and the blood) off of Saddam's hands?

6. Incomprehensible until you look at the folk in the WH and then it ...
... becomes crystal clear - mega-avarice coupled with mega-arrogance and zero accountability.

8. Here's a tid bit of Shrub's honesty:
'One of the keys to being seen as a great leader is to be seen as commander in chief. My father had all this political capital built up when he drove the Iraqis out of Kuwait and he wasted it. If I have a chance to invade, if I had that much capital, I'm not going to waste it. I'm going to get everything passed that I want to get passed and I'm going to have a successful presidency.' 10. Yes. And we now know that no amount of truth was going to stop him.
With the latest from Murray Waas (http://news.nationaljournal.com/articles/0330nj1.htm) it should be obvious that Bush planned and perpetrated a willful war of aggression, and imperialistic occupation of a sovereign Nation.

Any doubt about the later is readily removed by facts like those reported by the New York Times and Think Progress, yesterday (summarized here: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=364&topic_id=787135&mesg_id=787135).

It is our duty as Americans to bring him to trial for those crimes. It is the path we must take if we do not want America relegated to the status of a rogue, mass-murdering empire.

Peace.
