REAL SECURITY, meet THE REAL ECONOMY
The Democrat’s REAL SECURITY plan does something we’ve needed to do for a long time. It frames the debate and he who frames the debate wins the debate.

How can anyone not support the bullet points on REAL SECURITY? Should any Republican try to attack the plan he/she would look incredibly stupid. We have effectively taken Security away from the Republican party, albeit with their help--Dubai, Iraq and on-going ineptitude. In addition, REAL SECURITY joins energy independence with homeland security.

Next we need to do the same with the Economy and Health Care. I have recently heard two staunch conservative Republicans, both high level officers in their respective companies, say that it is time for single payer health care. The cost of providing health care for employees and themselves has reached the point that they recognize the need to off load the costs to the Federal Government. GM has $2000 in health care invested in every car made and that doesn’t include long term retirement health care.

We shouldn’t promote universal health care as altruistic or as a program for the middle class. Promote it as making America more competitive and reducing the cost of goods and services produced here. Sell it to the CEOs of big business, us peons are already on board.
