3. They really don't
There's also a thread floating around today about birth rates in Norway, wherein they credit Norway for having the good sense to stay ethnically pure and keep out the Muslims.

They're appalling. :eyes:

24. Wonder how they feel about Norway having one of the most liberal
abortion laws in the world. In 2004, their abortion rate was 19.8%.

7. You have a point....
The comment about "The way things are going in this country every child will be named Jesus Abdul" seems to indicate equal-opportunity bigotry.

15. Don't compound freeper ignorance and misogyny with your own
I understand that you are angry, but trashing white women because freeper scum trash black women only serves to make both sides look equally woman-hating.

6. This is classic FR
"Worry not, FRiends. The way things are going at our borders we'll soon be naming all our children Jesus, second name Abdul."
:eyes:

FWIW, I do tend to agree that parents are not doing their kids any favors by naming them things that look made up and mispelled. That issue certainly isn't limited to African Americans, though.

8. And a little sexism for good measure!
FReeper apologies for thinking author was male, explaining:

"OK, got it! I guess I undermined the point of the article by not even glancing at the author's name. (The no-nonsense tone made me assume the writer was male.)"

Idiot,

9. The Southerners are getting into it
"Zebulon Vance was the governor of North Carolina when the Yankees destroyed our nation and installed the present, thankfully declining regime.

Oh, did I mention that's a "Bible" name, and pretty common here in the South?"

Someone got their toes stepped on! :o

12. Actual quote:
"While I think the article is generally true, this paragraph struck me as BS. In the corporate world, a "Laquisha" indicates you can check off at least two affirmative action boxes.

But no one wants to do that with a forever employee who would be a problem from the get-go."

"Oddly enough, many of them still see the Negro in the room as ‘non-existent’ or invisible, so they talked like I wasn’t even in the room."

BS! They see the black person in the room with a huge neon sign above their head saying "BEWARE, PC MINEFIELD!".

20. Look at this sentence:
Edited on Thu Mar-30-06 06:31 PM by BullGooseLoony
"Parents, we are stacking the odds against our children from birth. We’ve been doing it for generations, **but we get mighty cross when white and mainstream America laughs and mocks us.**"

After that sentence, the piece starts getting a little transparent. I could be wrong, but I believe it was written by a white person.

On edit: Well, I followed the link, and apparently it was published in Onyx magazine.

Alright, I guess a black person wrote it.
