2. Sylvia Browne on Montel said today...
Bush will NOT be impeached too many Republicans in the Senate.
The troops will be coming home next year.
Bush's popularity will continue to decline until he starts bringing the troops home.
Earth Quakes possibly in NY and LA CA.
Bad hurricanes again.

oh and Brittany Spears will not remarry any time soon.

She was right about Brad Pitt-Jennifer Anniston last year and few other predictions.

4. Even a blind squirrel.........
finds a nut now and then. If you make enough predictions using conventional knowledge some of them are bound to hit the mark. It's the shotgun approach to "clairvoyance", a few pellets are bound to hit their mark.

16. Montel should ask her why she won't take the Randi Challenge.
1 Million dollars for scientifically verified psychic powers.

She said she would take the challenge 222 weeks ago.

I love Randi. He exposes the frauds with a fury. :)

5. watch the timing....2006 midterms
- token congressional investigations into energy prices will result in a slight drop of gas prices only to go up again after the 2006 midterms

- Abramoff sings like a canary, many senators/representatives from both parties implicated, but no real indictments until after 2006 midterm

- Plame Leak: nothing significant until after 2006 midterms

- the booga-booga machine goes into full operation regarding IRAN, probable invasion timed to coincide with 2006 midterms. (high probability that this will include Syria too)

- NSA Leak: low-level staffer implicated in leak, and this story falls off the front page way before 2006 midterms

- DeLay: pushing for a quick trial at the moment, unless this is settled in the next couple of months - he'll push for delays until after 2006 midterms

- If we don't invade Iran before 2006 midterms - the big issues will be God, guns and gays

- Alot of blather about possible filibuster of Alito nomination, nuke-option - in the end nada and Alito is confirmed

- Some troops will return home from Iraq, just before the 2006 midterms, look for largest return between September and October

6. I think five things
1. Republican Senators will continue to further distance themselves from Scrub. (I do not think 06 will be better than 05 for scrub).

2. The Abramoff scandal will take down about 5 Legislators (De Lay for sure).

3. There will minimal troop withdrawal, as the sistuation in Iraq will get worse.

4. Alito will either pull his name or he will fail to get approved.

5. Most Republican (and a few Dem) Senators will try and stall hearings on scrubs monitoring of US Citizens. They will ultimately fail (Probably June there will be hearings -- The tempo of which will be dictated by those Senators who are borderline getting re-elected)

7. George AWOL Bush will have another "Facial" incident
Edited on Sat Dec-31-05 08:18 AM by SpiralHawk
Caused by a Strange Encounter with a Pretzel of the Salty Kind, or another header off his bike, or some other queerly "inexplicable" set of circumstances.

8. My predictions...
1) Troop withdrawal will be used to help Republicans for 06', but it won't help. Problems in Iraq will get worse.

2) The Abramoff/Delay scandals will take down Delay, some low-level nobody's, and will hurt some Republicans in 06' elections, but most Americans won't notice.

3) Bush will handle something stupid (like Katrina, SS, or Schaivo), one or two new Bush f-ups will arise, and his approval ratings will fluctuate between 32% and 45%.

4) The economy won't collapse, so Bush will use it for press conferences, but most of the 60%+ that disapprove of Bush will disagree.

5) Another natural disaster and hurricanes will start to wake people up to Global Warming.

6) The Democrats will pick up 4-5 seats in the Senate, and 4-6 in the House.

7) The deficit will be a major talking point this year.

8) The Bush crime family will continue to use fear of the terrorists to try and scare Americans. More Americans will start to wake up to it and move away from Bush.

9) Russ Feingold will become the new "face" of the Democratic party.

10) A 10 million man/woman march will form and head to the White House; well that's what I hope happens.

12. Vote fraud causes Democrats to lose more elections
And Democrats lead a timid charge with pale colors flying against fraud, while the few good people on the ground launch bold assaults with bright colors trying to get the votes counted. Just like 2004. I hope I'm wrong on this point, but man, it's hard not to be cynical.

13. ...
Dems take back at least one house of Congress.

Impeachment attempt fails.

Cheney remains underground, may or may not resign (I lean toward may not).

U.S. regime attacks Iran.

Tony Blair ousted and replaced by Gordon Brown, with Tories gaining approval among disgruntled British middle class.

Once again, nothing done about the healthcare crisis.

Massive anti-* protests around the world, including all major US cities.

More global-warming related natural disasters.

More fundie attempts at theocracy, with little or no opposition from mainstream America, which is too busy shopping.

A continuing fall in the number of new homeowners.

Paris Hilton gets engaged to another millionaire playboy or two.

Thousands of gays and lesbians marry without issue (hahaha - just realized the pun - but not intended) in the UK.

Americans get fatter.

French get snobbier.

I get angrier.

14. Hate to give Silverhair fodder....but here goes
Plamegate, AIPACgate, Mafiagate, Spygate, Iraqgate, gives off way too much heat. I predict

1. Another major attack, attributed to terrorists, (read MIHOP) on a large metropolotian city in the US.

2. The new and improved Patriot Act X is passed in Congress.

3. Activation of the Cheney-Rumsfeld plan to attack Iran.

4. 2006 Mid-terms riddled with fraud. Dems do not take back Senate or the House.

5. Suicidal depression hits all REAL progressives.

6. hang a left returns to drinking.

15. Here Goes
Cheney has a serious enough heart attack that he either dies or is forced to step down. Condi becomes VPOTUS.

Alito is confirmed by a party-line vote. The anti-abortion groups immediately start feeding potential cases to overturn Roe v. Wade into the judicial system.

Because of this and continuing scandals, Dems take back the Senate, and come very close on the House. Among those that go down are Rick Santorum and Tom Delay.

-Enrongate blows wide open and takes down a few people in the administration.

-Halliburtongate blows wide open and Cheney is indicted and resigns.

-McCain will be appointed VP.

-Fitzgerald indicts the White House Iraq Group.

-Sibel Edmonds takes her case with the Justice Dept. to the Supreme Court and wins. The court demands that Bush turn over documents relating to FBI cover-ups. Bush refuses to cooperate.

-Bush resigns to avoid impeachment.

-McCain becomes president and pardons Bush. He appoints Lieberman as his VP.

21. might as well
1. Republicans either gain seats or break even in both House and the Senate somehow. {hope I'm wrong}

2. There is no attack on Iran

3. Bush starts on new "tax reform" agenda, which is just another way to soak the poor and middle class and give more breaks to rich people

4. Dems manage to hold together and cause Congress to come to a standstill except for critical legislation to keep government running

5. Bush's popularity recovers somewhat and pundits talk about this being the year of recovery for him

6. It seems to be a good year for the GOP until near the end of the year when a gigantic scandal erupts and engulfs Bush and the Republicans, although not in time to affect the 06 elections.

7. Hillary Clinton starts raising her profile noticeably.

8. Mostly quiet year on the natural disasters front

9. There is a major discovery in energy sciences
