Wal-Mart To Pay $2 Million In Employee Death, But Admits No Guilt

http://www.laborradio.org/node/11071

Wal-Mart has avoided criminal charges in the trampling death of a worker during a post-Thanksgiving rush on Long Island. Instead the world's largest retailer will pay nearly $2 million a portion of which will go to compensate those injured in the rush and the rest will go toward community projects. The company will be developing a new “crowd management” strategy to implement during the holiday shopping season at its stores in New York. No where in the agreement between Nassau County and the company does Wal-Mart admit guilt or any wrongdoing in the incident.

1. Since they are not guilty
and don't admit any wrongdoing, they can send me a check as well.
