NORRISTOWN — U.S. Department of Labor and U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) officials extended an invitation to low-income workers by launching the “We Can Help” workshop Thursday.

As part of the labor department’s new national campaign, employees uncertain about reporting incidents at work are now urged to speak out against workplace injustices.

About 20 people gathered at the ACLAMO Family Center on West Marshall Street to gain understanding of the new changes.

“It’s intended to target worker populations and industries where workers are reluctant to report violations within the workplace,” said Leni Fortson, spokeswoman for OSHA.
