Democratic presidential candidates Sen. Hillary Clinton and Sen. Barack Obama talk exclusively with the NC Black Publishers Association April 28-29 about the need for post-primary unity.

They each tell what they would do to unite the Democratic party after the nomination is settled.

2. this is great news

Everyone can change, even Hillary. It appears the SD have made up their minds and she is bowing out gracefully.

For me, it's as if everything she's done bad has been redeemed with that brief speech about supporting the nominee

and rallying her supporters to do the same.

3. I think both Clinton and Obama did well in this video.
And I hope that what they said is true: that whichever of them is the loser will support the winner.

Folks, it's not really about Clinton and Obama (though in many ways, it is). It's about We The People. It's about the future of this country. And it's about reversing some of the worst damage Pretzeldent Dumbfuck has inflicted on us, and on the rest of the world.

4. I so vividly remember Howard Dean
rallying all his passionate supporters around John Kerry. I also believe that all of that support won Kerry the election, but that's another topic for another thread. That rallying around our Democratic candidate is exactly what must happen in 2008, but I doubt that it will be to the degree that Dean accomplished it. We have simply got to get away from Reverend Wright and hammer away at all of McCain's negatives.

5. the thing that concerns me
is that I saw Dean interviewed this week and he said it took him THREE months to rally his supporters to Kerry. so we don't have that much time left.
