3. So maybe now, they will have time to wash their towels.......
And Obama showing up there just shows that they are two faced pastorbaters; those are the worse kind.

2. I really hope that when he's President...
...that he'll not worry so much about pleasing all constituencies, but more about doing the right thing. You know, the old saw about, "You can't please all the people all the time." I just worry that he's moderating himself (re: Wright, Iran, etc.) just to try and curry favor with all the fence-post sitters out there, instead of really saying what needs to be said (e.g. Wright is right on a lot of things, we need to be more diplomatic and less imperialistic, etc.).

I hate compromising principles. I want him to be Dan Evans in 3:10 to Yuma, where he stands by his principles even when everyone else around him abandons them.

7. Oooh! I'll take this one!
That the American government has acted incredibly shitty both to some of its own citizens and people in other countries, and that actions have consequences!

That was an easy one. Can I have another?

8. True dat!
Plus the fact that racism is NOT dead in this country, much as many "white" folk (of which I am one) would like to think so, and we have to keep working to eradicate it.

But I digress. Jeremiah Wright is not an issue, and never should have been. Let's focus on illegal occupations, huge foreign trade imbalances causing our economy to collapse, war profiteering by traitors - Halliburton, Blackwater, et al - to the U.S., criminal activities perpetrated for 7+ years by the White House, the war on the middle- and lower-class, the rapid decay of our environment and planet, and the amoral profiteering oil companies.

Makes sense, now.

14. Such a display of folly
Edited on Mon May-05-08 03:21 PM by Fedja
To make the Reverend as a person into something one must fully agree or disagree with. How primitive do you have to be not to acknowledge that one may agree on some points with another person, but not on others?

For the record, I do AGREE with Rev. Wright on the vast majority of his statements, but do feel that the AIDS statement was poorly worded or argued. If it was a hypothetic example, it wasn't made obvious as one.

God damn any government that imposes its own country upon others by force I say. If one wishes to avoid such damnation, they should do so by acting appropriately. Cause those chickens... they always come home someday. Might not be tomorrow, but karma is indeed a bitch.

9. Obama should not have went on this
piece of crap nutwork. Fixed news and Murdick is as un-American as a person and fascist nutwork can be.

A lie they asked was with the Wright crap. The reason that faux news is trying to spin this lie is that they think that it gives them a reason to be relevant.

Also he should have said in response to the Oliely question "I will think about it". I mean Oliely essentially said he had no problem murdering your wife. Remember the lynching? O'liely is a traitor just like rove and the other douche-bags on this far right nutwork.
